BRK's top ten weird things my WoW client is doing after 3.0.8.9506 installed {WoW}

Jan 27th 2009 3:20PM Haha. Perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Ms. BRK has got to be tired of your shenanigans by now... if not, more power to her!

Shifting Perspectives: So. Um, do bears suck?: Part II {WoW}

Dec 17th 2008 9:48AM Healed a bear tank the other night in drak keep... Had a rough time for the tank being a very DPS/AOE heavy group. I had to switch to gear with a lot more mp5 just to make sure my mana pool was refilling faster. Now I also understand why he was casting regrowth before some of the later group pulls.

My heart goes out to all the bear tanks that have it tougher that other AOE tanks... but I'll still heal ya =D

Death Knight solos (most of) AQ20 {WoW}

Dec 10th 2008 5:05PM Looks like the UI is just X-perls and RuneWatch.

Tales from the Lion's Pride Inn: The warehouse {WoW}

Dec 19th 2007 1:41PM Wow, never thought I'd find myself enjoying it as much as I have so far. Very nice work and detail. Keep up the wonderful work, looking forward to the next pages.

Encrypted Text: Enchanting your gear, part 1 {WoW}

Nov 16th 2007 2:04PM Awesome article to read. I'm leveling a rogue alt and this article will be very useful. I look forward to the next article on the similar topic. Quick question though for the rogue community... Does it matter if I go with agility or attack power, if I'm leveling or playing as a combat swords build? Or does it not matter? I'm not good with formulas and I keep reading different things. Thanks in advance.

BigRedKitty: The First Five Commandments of Hunterdom {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2007 3:16PM First off, very AWESOME article. Well worth whatever wowinsider gives you in return. It makes me want to take the cobwebs off my lvl 61 hunter and get him lvl'ed up again.

In regards to the "unintentionally" created hunters, that would be me. My hunter was the first character I ever created over 2 years ago. At the time, I knew nothing about the game except what blizz described on their website. It looked easy, but sure enough there's a lot more to a hunter. So, I intentionally rolled a character with an easy learning curve. I was wrong.

Critapalooza {WoW}

Aug 15th 2007 8:47AM Just another spin on this, for the healers and the prot warriors (and other tanks who focus really on the JOB of tanking), us healers and tanks have grown a somewhat personal relationship. Tank keeps us alive, we keep the tank alive. Usually, when I get a crit heal on my favorite tank, he's the one the whisper me or shout on vent "god damn.. nice crit heal". No numbers here... you know your efforts are appreciated when someone else points out you did a nice job.

And please... stop posting those stupid damage meter logs. If I wanted to see them, I'd be running one myself (and I do). If you're gonna post Damage Done, go ahead and post Healing Done you selfish little pr*cks. If I didn't shield your a$$ after pulling agro, you wouldn't be alive to keep those numbers up.

The Creamy GUI Center: HUDs {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2007 9:29AM I'd have to say... that HUDs are pretty much useless for healers. Don't get me wrong, my rogue loves using MetaHud as it is the only thing up on my screen. Why? Because that's all I care about. My situational awareness goes so far as to account for myself only. However, on my priest as a healer, you just have to look at another non-minimalistic UI to get the job done. I'd like to see a review of the other types of UIs like Grid or x-perl's configuration where you can set "healer" mode. Some healers I know don't like the deficit-mode, but I find that the best way to downrank spells to achieve mana efficiency. Grid takes an interesting approach in that they use color coding, and knoches in the corners to represent various debuffs. Maybe something to review next week.

As for the various HUD mods, I'd recommend MetaHud. Once you get it configured and customized, you'll love it. The transparency won me over also.

Guildwatch: A good healer is hard to find {WoW}

Jul 25th 2007 7:50AM Here's some realm news: Elune has an over abundance of healers and not many tanks. Period. If you're looking to transfer realms, and want a place full of healers LFG, then come on over to Elune.

About 75% of the groups I see in LFG are looking for a shadow priest, and not a holy priest. It took me about 30-45 mins to try to find a PUG needing a healer for anything in tempest keep. This is quite disturbing as blizzard has made every class with a healing spell a viable healer class for instances and raids. Where's the lore in that?

Oh well, I guess my alts will be pretty happy trying to find a healer tho =D
