Mar 30th 2012 4:32PM I enjoyed the raid. I did not like how EVERY boss barring Deathwing himself was a reused model. And while the scope of the Deathwing fights were great, the Madness feels very repetitive for successive kills. It's the very ideal that add fights strive to be.
And I still remember that comment a CM made about player models and them saying, 'If we did new player models, we'd have to reuse a few models for the bosses in the next raid tier!'
Still waiting on those models, Blizzard.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:13PM I'm actually really disappointed that Garrosh is a villain. I can definitely see the makings of a GREAT Warchief in him, but we gotta have Do-it-all Thrall back because apparently players want peace or something like that.
I wouldn't mind beating the crap out of him to knock some sense into him after the fourth chapter, as it's been suggested he starts descending into doing war crimes which seems extremely out of character for him when you consider Silverpine Forest and Stonetalon mountains, among others.
But, if he HAS to die because they have no other writing choice (wat), then I'd rather see someone like Zaela, Vol'jin, Baine, or even Saurfang take the helm. I've had enough Thrall from Cataclysm that I don't want to see him much in MoP. Unless I get to kill him. I'd be okay with that.
Mar 21st 2012 8:31PM Divine Star shoots out from you then returns, right?
Doesn't Glaive Toss for Hunters also work the same way? Shoots out, if it hits 2 or so targets, it returns.
Mar 21st 2012 3:31PM Glyph of Disappearance - Your Fade now turns you invisible for a short time.
Glyph of Shapeless Shadows - Your Shadowy Apparitions now appear as Dispersed Apparitions
Glyph of the Skull - Your Shadow Word: Death no longer removes Levitate and when cast grants you a short duration Skull above your head. Cosmetic.
I'm not very creative with Priest glyphs as I don't play mine much anymore.
Mar 20th 2012 4:53PM Demons are also far more intelligent then most Undead.
And while it'll probably be less useful for Unholy, it'll be nice as frost and possibly a huge boon for Blood.
Control Undead at the start of the pull, run in and pop DnD + Remorseless Winter. Your 'pet' will take some punishment and possibly die while you run in and grab aggro.
And the topic of Remorseless Winter being DG 2.0 for bad DPS doesn't seem that big of a deal. They did mention they are going back to a Wrath-style Heroic so chain-pulling while alternating between Remorseless Winter, DnD, and Blood Boil seems like it might be the norm.
Mar 14th 2012 3:30PM Given that the environment looks like a Tundra, Taunka are part of the horde, and they look like Taunka with distinctly horde weapons, I'm gonna go ahead and hope that these are Taunka.
Mar 3rd 2012 9:10PM Of all my 85s, my mage is probably the highest on my list of overall MoP completeness.
And I'm curious if they'll tweak the armor numbers, if only a bit. 5(%) across the board might make some armors underwhelming to some specs.
And the topic of Arcane; still hesitant about that. While I love the changes, I don't think it'll have a super-huge change on the 'rotation'. Except we can know chain-cast Arcane Missiles if it can still proc off itself during regen phases if we didn't grab Invocation.
Speaking of, do you think we could use Ice Flows as well as Evocate for mana on the move?
Feb 29th 2012 8:29PM I'm really looking forward on how they handle this. A part of me is curious if they'll be adding pvp objectives in every zone on Pandaria that grant buffs/boons/dailies when done or you hold the point, or visual phasing showing build-up of camps/supply lines while pushing inward. Like, when you first land you only have a few tents and several ships off-the-shore transporting troops and as you progress, it grows and grows into a base and so on.
And at some points, the Alliance/Horde will come to a clash (maybe like having two questing hubs besieging each other like in SBarrens or Twilight Highlands). Or having PvP dailies that grant small amounts of Conquest/Honor scattered throughout the continent that deal with the acts of war.
Feb 29th 2012 1:43PM I don't see much of a problem with Leeching Poison in PvP. As far as I'm aware, you can only use one non-lethal, and by using Leeching you are trading up Paralytic or Crippling Poison.
Not only that, but they seem to be reeling back Rogue uptime on a target just a short amount and that could mean Leeching won't be worth it on targets that use range as a tool (Mages, hunters, etc.)
And I know this sounds like poppy-cock, but they could always have Combat-specific tweaks to proc rates that make Slow/Slow a better option then Slow/Fast. In this function, they could also introduce another slow melee or two to help with Enhancement itemization.
Of course, I also believe they should turn 1h DPS weapons back into AP so Frost DKs, Enh Shamans, SMF Warriors, and Rogues could all use the same weapons and reduce the amount of clutter on loot tables, if only by a bit.
Feb 14th 2012 4:04PM That last point, of Bolvar becoming the leader of the Ebon Blade with them shifting from Death Knights to Wardens of the Damned.
I'd also be all for a level 80 spell that gives us a port to a phased Icecrown Citadel for Runeforging and such needs.
But that's just me.
