Some retailers in Japan stopping online sale of Apple products {TUAW.com}

Apr 27th 2010 6:50PM Price fixing applies when multiple companies conspire to set prices for their products. ie, if Apple, Dell, HP, Sony, etc conspired to set prices for all computers.

Apple can work with their retailers all they want to set prices for their own products.

Also note that price fixing isn't illegal in Japan anyway.

Rumor: Steve Jobs will appear at Sept. 9 event {TUAW.com}

Sep 1st 2009 3:44PM We rag on them because they are always wrong. Always. In every other line of work they would be fired, but since they're an "analyst" they get to make up s*** and be quoted by every newspaper, TV show, and blog on the planet.

Gene Munster: iPhone on multiple U.S. carriers in 2010 {TUAW.com}

Aug 31st 2009 3:02PM "Gene Munster, the Piper Jaffrey senior research analyst who usually hits the nail on the head when it comes to Apple forecasts..."

The same Munster who thought Apple wasn't going to announce new iPhones at WWDC? The same Munster who vastly underestimated the number of 3GS phones Apple would sell at launch?

Free US transfers now open {WoW}

Feb 28th 2008 8:49AM "If you're on Vashj, Zuluhed, or Velen, do you welcome the newcomers?"

Hell no.

Stay away from Velen.

Giant news from the PTR: A new build brings a new bug [UPDATED] {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2008 10:42PM It's currently bugged to be 15% of your max health to give 15% of your *current* mana. The less mana you have the less you get back. Even fixed to be max mana, it's still a *huge* PVE nerf. This plus the incinerate casting speed increase completely changes warlock itemization. No more stacking shadow damage or stamina.

And that's complete and utter $#@&($@.

Blood Pact: A Warlock's descent into Destruction {WoW}

Jan 31st 2008 7:23AM You may know how to play.

The other locks in your guild don't.

Movement fights hurt affliction just as much as destruction. When you're moving you're not shadow bolt spamming. Your dots are falling off. Once you stop moving it takes time to ramp your dots back up. And bringing an affliction lock to an endgame raid can actually hurt total raid DPS. Malediction is nice, but an affliction lock even with 10 points in destruction is hurting improved shadow bolt uptime. He's eating charges with less powerful SBs while not providing as much uptime due to less crit stacking.

Can an affliction lock beat a destruction one? Yes. Is it a higher endgame dps spec? Not even close.

Size does matter {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2008 4:49PM What synchronicity.

My guild downed Kael'thas for the first time last night, and after the loot sorting and picture taking we rushed to Hyjal. I won the race and the first thing I noticed and yelled was, "Jaina is huge!" And now this post appears the next day. Neat.

Also, +10 points to Blizzard for Jaina's Brilliance Aura.

Two Bosses Enter: Lady Vashj vs. Princess Huhuran {WoW}

Jan 20th 2008 12:37AM If you remove phase 2 and the spore bats Vashj is a push-over. Huhuran wins it easily.

Well Fed Buff: Sideways Snowman {WoW}

Jan 4th 2008 12:04PM Warning: Hpnotiq is *nasty*.

Bought a bottle a while back for a party just to try something new. Nobody would touch the stuff after their first sip. It took months of conning people who hadn't tried it to get rid of that crap.
