Sep 24th 2008 7:31AM the problem is that Blizzard could have made a Plethora of other items that we could make money on, while keeping the "good" stuff to engineers only.
Parachute cloaks should be non-engineer, some of the new enhancements could be non-engineer (how hard is it to press a switch once an engineer has shown you how) There are many things that are engineer only that are far less complex than say, Guns.
It shows a lack of imagination on blizzard's part.
Given half a chance, i could create a huge amount of "tradeable" Engineering Items, While keeping the very attractive stuff like the Bike, Engineering only.
Right now many of us are saying to ourselves "why bother with engineering if I could just buy the good stuf/equivalents from other people. I may aswell level something useful to Me like Inscription or Alchemy, while being able to buy the benefits I would have gained from Engineering"
Aug 15th 2008 12:33PM I did this on my little shaman and hit exalted at 31, still had to wait 9 levels for my kitty but its easily doable.
Jul 19th 2008 1:57PM Level 70 paladin for god knows how long.
I Still have the good old Fist in my bank :)
May 30th 2008 2:16PM I can't help but cringe to see the "tanking" tree have less mitigation talents than the blood tree. Assuming the DK threat generation will come from damage dealt while in Frost Presance, i was hoping to see a slight bit more Physical mitigation in the frost tree.
Its going to need more than this to shape up as a viable MT in 5/10 mans as blizz propose.
May 17th 2008 11:34AM As someone who's done tanking on all classes, I surmise that in addition to the magic reduction they will use parry/dodge based mitigation.
Well think about it; We have Warriors as the balanced tanking superclass, Druids as the very Dodgey class and Paladins are based around Blocking. So a Parry based class makes sense.
My bets are on an ability that increases parry/dodge chance for a while, similiar to a hunter's Deterrance ability with a smaller cooldown.
May 16th 2008 6:01AM Level very well geared prot pally
Druid who was feral for a while (now resto)
Warrior who's being geared up slowly..
I HATE PUGS... the whole problem is that you get stuck with these absolute morons who think its fun to pull aggro and dance around like zebbedee on crack!
AND they are always clueless, that means the tank and group leader (normally one in the same) has to babysit these ignorant fools and lead them hand-in-hand through the instance constantly reminding them to be careful, don't pull aggro, watch threat meter, don't break CC, put that down, don't touch that, get away from there.
If players could be sensible in a PuG, i'd be more inclined to offer out my tanking services.
Mar 17th 2008 12:08PM On Azjol-Nerub EU every saturday there is a raid made from people of the high end-game guilds that goes and clears out AQ40, then at night they reform for Naxx.
Loving it :)
Mar 16th 2008 8:58AM Wholeheartedly agree. My main is a paladin and we NEED the space to Accessorise. Engineering trinkets, 3/4 full epic sets. Then the pink and purple festival dresses, Red and Purple lovely Dresses (the red with matching hat and slippers).
Paladins need a Handbag slot.
Alltogether now. "We're Men, we're Men in Tights. We roam around the forest looking for fights! We're Men, we're Men in Tights, always on guard defending the people's rights!"
Dec 3rd 2007 3:10AM My old guild was called "Silver Dawning", It sounds a pretty nice name, and we liked it.
Then we re-discovered a quest in darkshore to retrieve lockboxes from 2 sunken ships, 'Mist's Veil' and 'Silver Dawning' Prompting the tagline;
"Murlocs stole our Guild Bank"
Dec 3rd 2007 3:01AM Mandokir's abilities are most useful when there are multiple mobs where he can do the most damage, and ding from killing the idiots that STILL can't understand the concept of "DO NOT DO ANYTHING WHEN BEING WATCHED" as they take the break from dpsing to bandage.
Sapphie has this one in the bag.
