Sep 22nd 2008 9:47AM It's Arcane, in other words you're claiming they don't want them to spam Arcane Blast, they want mages to Spam Arcane Missles. Dunno if you've realized this or not, but the Arcane tree has very, very few attack spells.
Also, little reality check, every Mage tree has a spam spell even if we don't have spells like Ice Lance to spam. We call them Fireball, Frostbolt, and Arcane Missle. :P
Aug 29th 2008 1:45PM Wow... the QQing is making my ears hurt.
Shadow Priests, if you really think these changes are a kick in the face and somehow a nerf, please by all means, reroll. Otherwise, actually sit down and do the math, then ask yourself if you every had nearly the shadow damage needed to produce a raw .5% mana per second return that this, and I don't say it lightly, buff, gives you.
Aug 25th 2008 4:08PM We're still in Beta, most classes were either grossly overpowered of demeaningly underpowered when the game first came out, it's no shock that Death Knights, being a Hero Class and the first one to be added to the game since it's inception is actually overpowered. I'm confident the playing field will get leveled over time actually.
I've been able to make the same claims with group quests on my hunter, and easily the same claims on my mage when it comes to being mighty. So...
Aug 25th 2008 9:42AM Personally, I hope they don't change holy too much, the changes already have convinced me to spec back to a full tiered Holy. The changes are nice, and I can't really see what we need (besides a holy form of course! ARE YOU LISTENING DEVS? I WANT ANGEL WINGS.)
But yeah, Holy didn't need much changed, they made Lightwell useful and turned Circle of Healing into a really powerful spell, so I really can't complain.
Aug 22nd 2008 11:16AM For those that are wondering why they'd still allow downranking... I suppose you never had a buff before 2.0 to hand to people, before autodownranking. There are minimum levels set to what you can buff, if you say, couldn't go back to rank 1 Power Word: Fortitude, then those lowbies you help out by tossing them a buff aren't going to get them anymore.
Also, many spells still have affects that differ in downranking, for instance Mana Crystals for mages are supposedly going to become the same spell name with different ranks, rather then 5-6 differently named spells without any sort of order preference.
If you've ever mage'd through an endgame fight, we're more then capable of burning our 3 charge mana gem and the next 2-3 ranks downwards of gems in one fight... want to lose those?
Aug 21st 2008 9:52AM A bit too steampunk? MORE steampunk please. Seriously, steampunk is fine as long as it remains fantasy, it's the Stargate / Sci Fi twist form BC that was getting out of hand, Warcraft has been gunships and steam engines and stuff since at least WCII.
More steampunk plz!
As for the patch cycle, what the hell is weird about this? Thankfully Arthas is the LAST patch, you know, so unlike Illidan our central plot villain isn't going to die a year before the next expansion is even in the works, he'll be our endgame, the closing of the plot. As he SHOULD be.
Aug 20th 2008 10:26AM In FFXI, they have several quests where you can upgrade your basic storage, bank, and backpack (yes there's three), it's usually a pretty simple quest requiring a bit of rep with (funnily enough) a goblin faction, bringing them some shinies, and presto, they award you with the latest in storage fashion.
I'd like to see a quest where we upgrade to say, a 20 slot backpack in a similar way, perhap Haris Pilton can help us get back in the groove or something.
Aug 14th 2008 9:05AM Oi, welcome to American Cable TB. XD
I personally haven't had any connectivity issues either, however I tend to keep the proper ports open on my router and the right triggers set up to prevent packet issues.
I'm guessing the average client has no clue how to do that.
Aug 5th 2008 1:31PM Keep hearing things about how silly certain gear looks... when do Tailors get to make color dyes and custom color people's gear for them?
Dark Age of Camelot skill, very nice.
Aug 5th 2008 9:25AM The Lore could just well be "you're too weak to face the challenges in Northrend just yet, train and become more skilled in combat before entering those lands."
It certainly is the mechanic.
