Raid composition and the role gap {WoW}

Feb 17th 2011 4:14PM I am finding the same problem even in heroics with my guild. For instance, a boss like Ozruk is so much easier with ranged DPS. I often cringe when I call for a group and it's a DK, Fury Warrior and Rogue that offers to go. :x

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Six years of trends {WoW}

Nov 28th 2010 1:54PM The above is entirely untrue. Before the nerf, my Arms warrior was doing 11.5k Overpowers and ~12k MS. After the patch, the average is 8.5k/9k. It was a significant difference.

Private server company forced to pay Blizzard $88 million {WoW}

Aug 14th 2010 8:02PM I'm willing to bet many of the people posting on here about justice have visited a private server but hey -- why not be a hypocrite instead? I've played on many private servers. Most of them are horrible. I never understood paying for donation items, especially when most of these servers could easily be hacked anyway.

Druid Q&A followup {WoW}

Jul 21st 2009 7:50PM Ferals should NOT get to utilize Warstomp in forms. Druids already cannot be snared/immobilized and their opponents are permanently slowed by the highly skillful use of auto-attack. If you need a breather, quit using Bash offensively and save it for when it's really needed. If you're in cat form, you're going to have to suck it up and switch to bear and Bash or switch out and Cyclone. If you're unable to do either of these things, you're being focused and deserve to die like anyone else in that situation.

Is it not enough that you have the single highest damage melee ability in the game in Shred and opponents ALWAYS have their back to you because they are in a constant state of running away to create distance?

Get better.

Breakfast Topic: Would you change your faction? {WoW}

Jul 1st 2009 11:56AM Excellent change. Something I've hoped for but never seriously thought would happen. I'd imagine most people using the service will be like myself. I originally rolled an Undead Warlock and got it to mid-20s before my friends started playing WoW and all went alliance so I started over there. I now have three alliance 80s and my one lonely 76 horde Lock. I'm looking forward to bringing it over to alliance not because it is better or cooler, but because all of my other toons are alliance and it's my new main.

Also, I hate to be disagreeable, but in the couple months I've been playing my horde character again, I can see no discernible difference between players of both factions. The experience has been exactly the same. There may be an edge to the horde overall when considering the game's absolute best raiding guilds and a ~10% edge in BG victories overall, but the this varies wildly from server to server and can go both ways.

I have two main hopes for this system:

1. It is affordable. It should be no more than $25. No primarily aesthetic, out of game service should EVER cost more than $25 on an MMO.

2. It has a LONG cooldown. 6 months or more would be nice. This shouldn't be something people can do over and over.

The 25 Most Exquisitely Sad Songs in the Whole World: No. 11 {Spinner}

Jul 17th 2007 8:28PM I find it nauseating to have to read through pages of "comments" by anti-choice, religious zealots who have discarded context entirely by not bothering to do any research on this song whatsoever.

Furthermore, how are people deciding that these lyrics are about "poor me"? Sounds to me like this decision is destroying him and he has little little or no part in the actual decision.

I got the chance to meet the members of BF5 after winning a radio contest in 1999. When I had a moment to speak with Darren Jesse (bassist), I asked him about Brick. He mentioned only that the song was not about Ben Folds, but about an experience he himself had had. I later found interviews on the internet corroborating this information.

Look it up and keep your judgmental tripe to yourself.
