You have a patch of ground to stand on, Death Knights are indeed the new "Huntard" in terms of a certain class of player they attract.

Like Hunters before, good DK can stand out from the rest. To play a DK well is the most complicated thing in WoW, and coming from a level 80 DK and loving it, I sometimes wish I had octopus hands.

Articles like this that say DK are piss easy to play are sadly misleading. DK are piss easy to play at low level because you have excellent gear and honestly, solo scope mobs are made of air and happy thoughts since patch 3.0. You can autoattack most enemies in Outland to death, you know? Everything else is just bonus when the base is that low.

To be competitive at 80 is an engaging and rewarding challenge for a DK. You just have to watch out for our friend xxArthuzxx, just like you had to watch out for xxLegolazzzxx before us.

Oct 27th 2008 2:14AM Just because you were a sad spec beforehand, and masochistically stuck with it despite it being the most afk boring autoattack and watch gamestyle in the entire game (even moreso than enhancement shamen)... well that doesnt give you any entitlement to being the New Warlocks now that you have three buttons to push and a hell of a lot bigger critical hit numbers.

Just hope that they don't bring it down and leave it there if the new mechanics put things at an unpleasantly low level.

Like the article writer says, be angry that you got the Cheatmode due to their RELUCTANCE to balance the class in the closed beta, and stop confusing the rush of OP with a good thing. Heroin addicts make the same mistake.

Just cleared Karazhan today despite server instabilities.

The Ret paladin in the raid was one of the few people who were not full pve epic, in fact he had a lot of straight up crafted blues that were far from anything special.

He did the most damage in 99/100 encounters, often sustaining 1k-1200dps even on trash mobs.

Nobody in blues should bring that much hurt. It can be a great feeling to be overpowered, but damn, take a step back and realize that if paladins become the new Warlocks, then nothing has improved for the game.

AotV, Exotics to be changed {WoW}

Oct 15th 2008 4:06PM I really dont want the exotic pets to JUST be for looks. I really dont. Exotics are my Explosive Shot. You change your whole rotation when you get that (or chimera) in those specs. Exotic taming should have some similar benefit, not just be 4 petpoints and a wider choice of looks.

I'll spec marksman or something if they're going to fill my devilsaur with helium again.

Let me point something out, mmmkay?

Titan Quest had bright happy colors even in the places that were supposed to be dark and evil

Dungeon Siege had bright happy colors even in places that were intended to be dark and evil

Do we really need Diablo to cotton candy it's evil to make it palatable as well?

The issue isn't the presence of color, it's the misuse of it in certain areas of the game such as the interiors of crypts.


Color is an essential element of presenting a vivid virtual world, but misusing it is just as bad as giving the Mona Lisa a nice shock of pink raver hair.

Didnt Diablo 1 have straight up Doom-level gore scenes, like the severed girl torsos in the map graphics? I kind of doubt that today's "We make games core gamers can play with Grandma" Blizzard will ever go to those levels to assault your sensibilities anymore.

It won't surprise me if the most despicable thing the Diablo 3 central villain ( Diablo himself again I guess) does throughout the entire game (directly through story or merely implied by environment) is make the sky cloudy and walk around saying "I'm so evil, kill me Grandma".

You got angry because Tifa switched to drunken master? She owns a bar, did you hear? She turns out in the original conception to be a brawler as well. Bar..brawler? I wonder where they got the idea, gosh. It's not a great leap, and it's a fun little extrapolation.

Feb 23rd 2008 5:23AM City of Villains was plenty of fun for one month, but they must have been operating on a shoestring budget because apart from the costume system ( 20 flavors of tights with like.. five actual additional model pieces(the robot bits, horns) can't take 20 guys 40 hours a week can it?) the game was far too simplified. There were only a handfull of adventuring maps (sewer, warehouse, caves, base) recycled to EVERY level. You saw the entire game at level 1, more or less.

Also, the sound effects for electric melee sucked :P

what CoX should have done is really opened up to user generated content. They should have provided some simple GUI driven tools for importing tint maps ( it's so NOT HARD to make a black and white tga, you know), sound effects, maybe even creating your own maps and objectives.

Why? Because EVERYBODY who stuck with the City Of games did it because they felt like amateur picassos after spending two hours in chargen to produce "half naked chick with a winged face frame with a BLUE striped bodice instead of BLACK, like I played last month". After that passed, there was no actual game to play, just a sort of sub diablo environment to fiddle about in.


Have to agree the combat was more fun than wow though when you played a Brute. Survivors will be few, here comes the lightning pew pew pew!~ *uses Lightning Rod*

Feb 5th 2008 1:14PM Why is "This game has been made so easy a thalidomide child could beat it with enthusiastic flailing of his tragic flippers against the controller" being sold in this review like it's a good thing? You even directly panned how easy DMC2 was, why is the game being easy suddenly a good thing when it comes to 4? Have you gotten lazy?
