Oct 21st 2010 1:57AM the bit about the sister being a recovering alcoholic has been mentioned in passing in the last couple of episodes. if i recall right, last ep, the husband openly wondered if the sis hadn't fallen off the wagon again.
Nov 1st 2006 11:46AM og wasn't hard for me to learn (and i did it with my alliance toon, which kinda gave it that extra special wrinkle -- did the same with UC, incidentially)
TB isn't hard once you kind of get a hand where all the bridges are. i think it's actually the easiest of the horde cities.
UC can be a bit daunting, but once you go there a few times, it feels pretty straightforward.
on alliance side, i'd say SW is simplicity itself. ironforge takes some getting used to, but since you wind up spending most your time there, it ends up being pretty familiar.
darnassus to be is an example of bad city planning that unneccessariliy complicates things -- it's hard to get around, stuff is always in the weirdest places and oh yeah, it's the town you usually spend the least town in.
didn't have much trouble getting around the exodar, but i'd have to say that shatrath is a screaming mess bouind to drive people nuts for a while.
Oct 26th 2006 9:12AM when i hit 60, clearing UBRS was about a 50 minute clear.
18 months (and quite a few epics) later, UBRS is still a 50 minute clear.
i have it down as one of the most boring and uninspired instances in the game.
deadmines, Sfk, ZF, dead strath and to some degree, AQ40 would be my list -- but i'll note that if we included the xpac, i think almost all of these would be replaced with stuff like CoT (southshore), seththekk and shattered halls.
Oct 24th 2006 11:08PM well, if that's your critera, -- awesome. then un-nerf us asap. because even in heavy melee-dps build we can't out-dps most prot warriors and we've never been able to even come close to outhealing priests to
so, based on that, i'd say your orgument
should be AGAINST the nerfs we just got, not for.
Oct 23rd 2006 12:27AM the kuernei faction grind is actually one of the more pleasant things in the game atm. it starts in zangarmarsh but gets kicked into high gear in nagarand (which is, simply, the most beautiful map in the game atm.) guildmate of mine got his epic mount the other day and by just questing through nagarand i'm almost at revered...
Oct 20th 2006 3:36AM ragnaros is a powder puff compared to even the weakest boss in naxx. that'snot even worht comparing.
lets see: anub is feasible with 25, GW sure as heck isn't (no changes still means she'll spam the hell out of her poison bolt volley, hitting 25 people in raid -- skimp on depoisoners and 70 wor not, you die), maexxna is more of a question of how much dps you can stack into a 25 man group while retaining enough healing as well as wall dps to get peoplle off of the cocoon wall. overall, i don't see that being too feasible either.
that leaves lotheb, 4h, sapph and kel'thuzard and those i don't think will be easy with a 40 man of lvl 70s.
in a 25 man raid you wind up having to make a lot of compromises. so bringing all the decursers, healers or deposioners you might need for any given fight (some of which are very much about positioning, insuring that 2-3 people can't hit all) isn't likely going to be feasible. a lot of these fights in naxx were menat to pretty much abuse people who used decusrsive and if they don't change that, forget trying to zerg it with a short-number raid.
patchwerk: heh. yeah, that's not gonna happen with 25. grubbulus is doable, gluth is sorta iffy and thaddius might be feasible on paper, but i don't see it being very viable (you run out of time and he owns all, etc)
razuvious is most likely doable, noth just plain isn't.
heingen might possibly be doable, gothik would be somewhat surprising if you could.
Oct 19th 2006 10:29PM you won't be able to do places like naxx with a 25 man group, even at 70. lower tier areas (MC and parts of BWL, some early parts of AQ40) should be doable, but all of naxx is so timing and percision based that anyhting less than 40 will pretty much spell a wipe. but at least crappy fights like patchwerk will be easier to do.
Oct 19th 2006 10:17AM nice UI, though i just never could get into DUF. i'd start the countdown on just how long it'll take folks to screech about your audacity to still use titan when (by gum!) everyone should be using fubar (etc, etc.)
(and yes, i kinda get tired of that sort of stuff.)
Oct 16th 2006 11:25AM i generally don't have any pre-set rules about duels, but i do have one hang-up: if someone stuns/runs/hides and goes out of combat to drink or eat, i won't ever duel them ever again. to me, that is borderline exploitative in terms of abusing game mechanics to accomplish something fairly meaningless in the scheme of things.
Oct 16th 2006 11:17AM the new animations are fantastic. the first time i judged SoC on a mob, everyone just errupted wanting to know what just happened. seeing a big gold hammer flying down from the sky will do that!
seal of vengance has a wonderfully eleaborate animation that is cool to watch. if only the seal itself wasn't such crap...
