Aug 25th 2009 9:42PM "limited time" as in it had an expiry date, September 1st. Clearly mentioned on their site.
they suddenly changed it to "1000" only in a single blog post, no email announcements or anything.

Cryptic's official response on sold-out Champions special subscription deals {Massively}

Aug 25th 2009 9:05PM This is from "Doctor Comics" on the forums:
Dear Daeke, and the rest of the Cryptic team,

In the fourth Act of Hamlet, King Claudius tries to say, "I'm sorry." He has a lot to be sorry about. After all, he's murdered his brother, stolen his brother's wife, and taken the kingdom of Denmark. That's a lot of guilt. So he urges his "stubborn knees" to bend, and he tries to confess his sins, and be forgiven.

There's only one problem: Claudius is willing to say what he did was wrong, but he's not willing to give up any of the booty he's taken! He can't give up Gertrude or ruling the kingdom, and he can't confess to the people at large that he murdered his own brother. He's just not willing to pay the price for his mis-steps.

It's nice to hear you, and Cryptic, admit some fault in this. And it's nice to hear you say you're sorry. Now, obviously, your sins are not as serious as those of Claudius. On the other hand, Claudius is an imaginary person who isn't real, while the mistakes you have made are real. So who is to say which set of crimes is more serious. In the end, Claudius and his cohorts on the stage are teachers, and the lesson they teach us is simple:

Saying your sorry isn't worth much if you're not ready to make amends for the actual mistake with more than just words.

Bend, stubborn knees. Because words without thought never to heaven go.

WoWMatrix responds to Curse and WoW Interface {WoW}

May 6th 2009 11:36PM So if I used Adblock and NoScript on Firefox to download from Curse, will curse block firefox and force me to use Curscape 3.1? Includes ads or a premium service and asks me to log?

I tried the Curse client, the interface is horrible (PC and Mac versions). Is it really that hard to create an easy to use interface like WowMatrix's??

Wowmatrix's decision was good but it's too bad it took them this long to respond though

Blizzard sends a C&D to Warcraft Characters, other iPhone apps {WoW}

May 2nd 2009 5:38PM Wowtalents and the loot apps are still in the app store, which is odd because they cost money ( )
both were free before though.

while characters, the only free one is no longer on the app store :(

There's another free wow app that the owner said he did not get a C&D letter about it. It was an app for checking realm status ...
