Oct 7th 2010 4:19PM " It looks like you want to do this now, before the patch hits, since the conversion from emblem system to justice/valor point system isn't looking favorable."
Unless I've missed an annoucement the conversion means frost will be worth the same in 4.0.1 for buying t10 etc and triumph will be worth the same as frost. So if I had 60 frost and 60 triumph now I'd have the equivilent of 120 frost in 4.0.1 to buy 2 piece tier 10. Or has the rate changed from 11.58 again?
Oct 4th 2010 9:54AM My parents fly into Aus for 6 weeks on the 9th so I've got 2 days to mess around with goblins... *sobs*
Sep 19th 2010 7:00AM Don't like this one bit, I can see the logic but it just screams 'bad design decision that's going to get changed' like Tauren plain running.
I'd prefer they use the fact that these people have been walled up for so long that the worgan disease has created a mutated yet moutable creature.
Mar 15th 2009 11:36PM Listening to old CGW/GFW podcasts in preperation for this, spent 20 mins laughing uncontrollably at my desk at Jeff and his "YOU'RE NOT THE LORD OF THE RINGS" story.
How I miss this podcast!
Mar 15th 2009 9:01PM I think I just had an Ephemeral Fantasia, return of the best podcast ever.
Feb 24th 2009 6:27PM Great news and I'm really looking forward to this change. The only issue I have is the pure gold cost, I'd much prefer if they'd drop the cost and used instancing to give the player an epic questline that might take a little while to complete.
Level 40 players get a level 40 quest and level 80 get a level 80 quest, something along the lines of the Pally/Warlock mount quests. Instead of handing an NPC 1000g how about buying an item for 100g and spending a few hours grinding quest specific mats ending in a final battle?
Oct 23rd 2007 6:50PM I've played DPS,healer and tank in this game and tank was most definitely the toughest.
Not in terms of gameplay but in terms of pugging with potentially 4 idiots. I only played my tank post BC so I never knew the high points of being able to adequately generate enough threat to keep up with the 'IPEWPEWU?' crowd who can barely wait for a sunder to land before letting loose (usually on the one target I've not managed to slap a sunder or a shield slam on)
I know so many warriors who just won't go into a PUG because of this, but they will happily tank guild runs so we don't really have a shortage.
At the moment I'm playing a priest (shadow for leveling) and I'm finding myself being constantly in demand as I level.
If Blizzard want to fix the tank shortage then buff threat generation for tanks, otherwise all I see are lots of Death Knights running around in battlegrounds avoiding the pugs.
Oct 8th 2007 7:14PM Fantastic news and about time!
I've moved regions (Europe to USA/Oceanic) and I'm having to start all over again. Getting my main back up to speed will take long enough but I had a few alts I really enjoyed and this will help me get back to where I was.
Also fantastic news about the extra content and amendments to dungeons, I'm sure Blizzard are well aware of the 'altaholic' types who love playing all the classes rather than commiting all their time to one. More 1-60 content please!
Also, I have to agree with what someone said earlier... make LBRS,Strat,Scholo,UBRS for 50 onwards and then people have the option of running those instances to get to 60 (or 58) for Outland.
Since they're so hard for anyone below 58 at the moment so many people are missing out on these great dungeons and they really help 'tune' a players skills for the larger instances.
Oct 2nd 2007 10:53PM The Oceanic servers are up now due to the time difference but unfortunately it seems some of the quests (the barker ones) are bugged and won't activate until midnight where the servers are physically located.
Oct 1st 2007 7:36PM I'm sensing that since DK are born from Pallies they'll have some kind of aura to make up for the lack of a shield. Most of the images show a blueish aura around the DK, no doubt that'll add 'so much armor' or the like meaning they can tank with a 2h.
