Dec 22nd 2008 3:21PM We run SK with a fairly static group. The way we handle it was to have everyone /roll when we ran Naxx for the first time and that set the initial list. From that point on new people running with us are added to the bottom of the list. We don't purge the list so if someone runs with us they will be in the same spot they were when the raid ended if/when they join us again.
We also only 'suicide' people if it's a main spec item. If no one wants it for main spec it goes to off spec and is open for a /roll, if no one wants it as off spec it goes to DE. This is done so as not to penalize hybrids.
Oct 30th 2008 3:34PM I don't know why they wouldn't just split up the class forums into subsections. Like splitting up the paladin forum into tanking, healing and dps sub-forums. It's still class specific but each one is only discussing one aspect of the class.
Oct 14th 2008 4:30PM I'm actually dual boxing to make use of the recruit-a-friend program to get all my alts to 60 before expansion. I took a new warrior from 1-46 in 1 day 16 hours /played. I know that's not the fastest time in the world but it's still averaging more than 1 level per hour.
Oct 14th 2008 4:27PM They made that easier a while back. Haven't seen anything indicating they are touching it again.
Oct 14th 2008 4:20PM "and then Ghostcrawler announced that many changes we've seen in the classes from the PTR and the Wrath of the Lich King beta will not be immediately available tonight"
I read the post that GC made and it didn't say anything like that. The forums aren't loading for me right now but wasn't this post in the beta forums? All I got out of it was that this wasn't the latest build from beta, I didn't see anything to make me think that what we saw on the PTR wasn't going to be pushed to the live servers. You guys have created alot of panic over here today which seems to be all about nothing.
Oct 14th 2008 1:05PM Plan to set my spec, review my achievements and hopefully get a Kara run in tonight to try out my new snazzy prot pally skills.
Oct 1st 2008 8:24PM I play in windowed mode all the time and I have never had issues with any classes.
Sep 27th 2008 7:18PM Or they could add in armor dye. solves the clown problem without unbalancing anything.
Sep 18th 2008 10:07AM Couple quick things.
I don't like PvP but I enjoy it quite a bit in WAR. It's not as twitchy as WoW's PvP and the fights last a little longer. I've yet to be stunlocked for an entire fight or lose control of my character. You shouldn't necessarily base how you feel about PvP on what you're used to from WoW.
I think WAR is a good game and one I will happily buy. Most likely I will play it exclusively until Wrath comes out then switch back to WoW and at some point start splitting my time between the 2. I'm bored to death with WoW right now so why not try something else even if it's just temporary.
I get what alot of you are saying about EA and their DRM but I think alot of the people complaining about it are just complaining because it's the fun new thing to do. Someone said their "sick to the teeth" about EA blah blah blah... really? EA's actions affect you that much? Someone else said "have fun renting your game", what exactly do you think is gonna happen when WoW shuts down their servers? Oh that's right you won't be able to play them any more.
I do not support EA's DRM but at the same time I'm willing to get off my high horse for a minute and have some fun. When there's only a couple major publishers out there you're probably gonna have a tough time as a gamer if you put a blanket boycott on one of them. Don't buy the games with the restrictive DRM if it bothers you.
Aug 9th 2008 9:22AM Just like with the BC release the GF and I will probably pre-order but go to Wal-Mart at midnight and pick up a couple copies anyways. Then return the delivered copies. Figure that way I'm covered either way ;)
