Nov 7th 2011 8:09AM 1 Name per server
X number of servers
X = max number of times the name can appear. So someone could have, thinking their name was the sh!t, gone to as many servers as possible, namecamping the name.
Which is why you see something some obscure ones such as "Actæon" amongst the unorignal/punny ones.
Jun 18th 2011 2:18PM One of these is not like the other two:
World of Warcraft
Yes, Warcraft is the only one of 3 that did not become popular worldwide from musical performances...... what?
May 18th 2011 2:16AM To those trying to reason away the extra cost of this new feature blizzard is developing, can I ask you this.
Would it of been acceptable to charge for the LFD finder? That was extra functionality to the game that was probably much more of a challenge to develop, and provided everyone with a quality of life improvement to the game. If friend groups are worth charging for, than LFD is worth just as much if not twice. This is being developed using the money made from our subs, this is the kind of advancements they NEED to make in order to make appealing to people, and yet some moneyman had the bright idea that they could fleece their already-paying customers for more
This is a serious quality of life improvement, if they are really going to spend the time and money into adding it to the game, then they should just put it in there and not have it sectioned off by some god damn velvet rope.
I don't use RID because I just objected to it from the start, as such I'm happy to not use it as a choice, but I still don't see it as fair that people who do want to use this kind of persistent in-game functionality have to pay extra for something they already funded through their monthly fee.
Mar 22nd 2011 10:14PM Your heart is in the right place.... but some of us have read too much trade chat to be able to read "Annals" properly at first glance... ever.
Feb 10th 2011 7:14PM I saw this and had a very real "Wait... what?" moment, like I had a concussion so bad I didn't even feel it.
Jan 11th 2011 7:01AM "Player skill should mean something"
Well on some servers the minority faction has an advantage where their skilled players have a higher chance of getting in to fight than those on the larger faction. For the same reason pug BGs and random skirmishes aren't rated, the skill of random groups mean very little.
Jan 7th 2011 8:35AM This comment probably makes Devs as happy as they are to see the "heroics are hard" comments, and that is a good deal of happy.
Jan 4th 2011 7:12PM Female Draenei has some competition? This game is all about the class/race balance, in theory. :p
Jan 3rd 2011 6:35PM Take this into consideration:
Lets say the minority faction have 50 people in the BG, everyone who queued gets in. This party includes the top 1% pvp gods and the bottom group of keyboard turners. The majority faction have 200 people who want to get in, including the few top players and a large mass of keyboard turners... I've seen true greats relegated to bridge duty while I've fought along side people who don't grasp the true value of CC.. or at least the value of not directly attacking that epic war in the ice block. It' just feels like the majority faction gets more of the bad players in than the few top players can bear to carry, while the minority faction gets everyone in all the time and everyone stands to get more field experience as a result.
Jan 3rd 2011 6:28PM Side note, I still did wintergrasp during the orignal TB era because a win would net about as much as a TB loss did, the weekly quests made it even more worthwhile... I still do wintergrasp now because.. well, you can still get some really good scraps out of it while being less fustrating to attack than TB, even with gimped seige that can get 3-shotted at 85.
