Feb 9th 2012 1:35PM Next week can you have a topic called "Things other classes wished Hunter learned to do"
a) Take care of your own pets health from time to time (esp. when healers are busy or critical to a moment in a boss fight), if it gets hurt beyond the healers basic group healing it can be the result of bad pet control.
b) When they have get right on top of the target due to a boss mechanic, move, dont stand out in the trouble spot cause you want to keep shooting.
c) Learn to control your pets better, especially when you switch back and forth through targets and dont reset the pets back to the main target.
d) Dont run out of the range of healers when your kiting. Yes you can run a thousand miles while kiting the big bad monster, but if you cant run more than 30-40 yards away from the healer.
Feb 9th 2012 1:22PM I really, really, REALLY wish every HUNTER realised that... you would not believe how many times we have to remind hunters to rez pets, have the right pet out, stop their pet attacking the wrong target, or just plain here as your pulling "I forgot my pet". *facepalm*
Feb 1st 2012 11:22PM As others have stated, the difference in dps is a matter of rotation control. From my experience the number one problem usually comes down to Vampiric Touch... a bad shadow priest will cast it after its finished, you need to cast it before it finishes. The loss of 2-3 seconds on VT is a few thousand dps.
Dot Tracker (I use weakauras) and a Cast Bar mod (I use MFClip) are must haves. I use MFClip to track my VT, DP, and balance it all out against my australian latency. I can keep pace with any mage that way. Then read shadowpriest.com guides, Kilees guide.
Once you got your UI set up, and read through the advice.... Both of you shadow priests, go to the training dummies and practice and practice... until the gap in the dps meters starts to shrink. Talk through your rotations, and compare. It is how I trained all the shadow priests I know, giving a few words of encouragement and the right mods and explaining Vampiric Touch casting you can normally see a huge increase in dps.
Nov 8th 2011 8:24AM Obvious... Lunar Festival
Its 3+ weeks with no pets, no boss fight, very little toys, and no welfare epics or rare mounts. Its the most outdated of all the holidays, it hasnt changed much from L60 classic WoW. The only change was the addition of achievements.
Sep 20th 2011 9:40AM What are your plans for Brewfest?
Drinking Game, each time my toon drinks, I do...
I will be drunk before my dailies end...
Aug 31st 2011 10:42PM Avatar T5 is a popular choice... the thing is the White Angel/Gold Wings form is not very shadow priesty, also as I said it will be popular, maybe too popular.
Im planning on the T5 PvP set (Merciless Gladiator), available on Sunwell Island for the same tokens, its a dark blue/silver colouring thats very awesome and can mix and match seemlessly with T6 pieces. http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=707
So dont ignore looking at the old PvP legacy items and armors, cause not only do they look good, but stand out cause they are different.
Mar 29th 2011 10:38AM Anything that involves large balls, im in :P
Mar 22nd 2011 8:09PM *facepalm* As an Enchanter I would like to say "Thanks" to Blizzard.
What the hell is our tradeskill going to make money from now ?
Shards, Dust and Essence are pretty much flooded the marker since nearly everything gets DEed.
Dust & Essences are no longer required in other trade skills (like tailoring in BC and Wrath)... this reduced the resale value of basic enchanting mats. The only thing we had a decent chance of making money from is Maelstrom Crystal trading and you decide to shoot a hole the size of a truck into that market.
In no other previous version of WoW were you able to earn Epic Shards this easy. With the reduction in costs, many raiding guilds will have difficulties recovering the costs for Guild Cauldrons, Fish Feasts and Guild Repairs, if they cant sell Crystals for decent price.
Blizzard your masters of an economy... dont have bargain basement sales on major commodities like this, causes market crashes in the game hurt.
Nov 19th 2010 9:28AM Why is it the only time parents even mention that their kids are watching/playing etc... is after the fact. I bet there was not a single mention that the child was playing before hand, or any other time previous until that incident.
Its the parents fault that they didnt warn or mention before hand the child was on, and it would of been more prudent if they cleared it with the guild body (leader, officers etc) to see if it was okay.
Players can only assume that the person playing the toon is the person who owns it, unless otherwise told.
That also goes for girlfriends, family, your mum... if you not playing your toon, tell people or block their chats.
Nov 9th 2010 11:14AM World of Warcraft!
The initial Beta was terrible, their design laughable, and their 6 months of server failure from launch date made it a laughing stock of the hardcore MMO players.
It took a few people at work to convince me to give it a try it around ver 1.5, they joked that they were "hardcore" players of MMOs and I couldnt keep up... I mocked them, since that was their first MMO and I pretty much played every MMO that was ever released 5 years prior... they all eventually quit WoW, im still playing WoW.
Surprising thing is the longest I ever played an MMO was 6 months to a year... been playing WoW for over 5 years.
Blizz's rollout of WoW was terrible...
