May 30th 2008 2:36PM I agree, it is easier for a DPS pet to hold aggro [usually] than a tanking pet (present growl bugs not withstanding...) I usually recommend a DPS pet for most new hunters, and it will usually be a good pet to keep to 70 and past for both PvE and PvP...
Might want to mention Mark than one can have up to 3 pets, and something some beginning hunters miss, pets can be trained with various talents. its confusing though [to new hunters], could make a good follow-up article, but should be at least mentioned here.

Or, on the other hand, if the mana system ain't broke, should we really even think about fixing it...
But it IS broken, specially to any hunter under level 64 after patch 2.4... (and only 'working' for levels 64-70 after the Aspect of the Viper recent 'fixes').
Its broken too, as I'd bet this is not going to be the first time that Blizzard adjusts mana regen (or something else related to mana) and it will balance most of the mana classes except for Hunters...
Feb 25th 2008 3:23PM Warlock/Banish is a biggy, CCing Elementals helps immensely...
Also, don't forget the Druid CC that can not be used anywhere in almost any instance... Roots :(
Feb 5th 2008 11:42PM True, but catching nothing but Mud Snapper is not going to also
1) help level cooking... cooking them will eventually turn grey...
2) is not going to keep my pet happy (assuming I level him rather than fish all day)
Feb 5th 2008 8:12PM I used to do things the other way around, and level my cooking with my fishing (usually, as a hunter with a pet who ate fish). Unfortunately, fishing cooking recipes also got the nerf bat (seems like leveling EVERYTHING did :( ). Trying to get to 300 with fishing now means finding more rare fish, and using a lure in those upper areas (or just fishing more in lower areas, but getting fish my pets will not eat anymore...)

Well, word is that the elites in STV for the hunting quests all changed except for King B (still elite). Always enjoyed the Nesingsway quests...
Others who have become non-elite include:
Ol’ Sooty in Loch Modan
Besseleth (da Spider) in Stonetalon Mountains
Sian-Rotam and Shy-Rotam in Winterspring
still waiting on word on Arikara in 1000Needles...
Oct 25th 2007 3:32PM LoLz... This one is great; I SO wish I could do that with my Shammy (maybe get the big toe of a Gruul stuck :) ) I'm in the camp of story being important, and this has it in spades !
As for art-style, I like it (I also like the contrast of the art with the backgrounds, makes the eye look at the artwork). Its a style that was actually popular not that long ago in game-art. Your lining is much thinner, but I like the thin lines better I think.
Then again, I'm a programmer; what do I know about art :)
I really like this one though.

escort smelly people on flowerpicking expeditions
That quest has been on LIVE for a while now...
@5) It was never hard to get past the guards for the boats or the zeppelins, just took some killing (or stealth). I will be sad [while playing Horde] if I can not party on a party boat anymore :(

Its funnier with a pet, cause you havfe advanced notice... Pet is over at point A, blood is flying, but nothing is there. Mob is at point B, hitting nothing also. Shots go to point B.
Trick is to get pet and mob to merge to the same point "C" before the mob dies ;)
Also funny, is with the interpolation algorithm, I can send a pet in, take a shot, and the two will sometimes run PAST me fighting before they finally stop (usually just within my dead-zone :( )
Oct 10th 2007 6:44PM I was complaining the other day about resists of my traps... Seems like sometimes I get a slew of them and it hurts...
One of the parties I was in said the resist rate is linked to my +hit ? Any truth to this ? (got about 4% +hit presently, no trap talents, but thinking about a respec)
