May 17th 2009 1:06AM Yeah, this isn't a skylight. Ever wonder why the balcony is smashed right underneath the hole? Why, it's almost as if something big and heavy fell right through the roof and smashed it ...
Aug 14th 2008 12:51AM Speak for yourself! Tanking Shattered Halls is a joy as a protection paladin. No crowd control is necessary, required, or desired - just bounce around picking up mobs like a pinball machine in multiball mode. I had no trouble surviving the grind to exalted with Thrallmar, even with pugs and level 68-69 healers, and I'm hardly geared to the teeth. It was even kinda fun (the first dozen or so times, anyway).
The fact that the different tank classes can still occupy different niches means that Blizzard has managed to stave off completely homogenizing the tanking classes ... for now.
Jun 16th 2008 9:06AM Actually, you can find horde Pally trainers in Undercity (next to Sylvanas) and Orgrimmar (down the hall from Thrall).
May 28th 2008 2:01AM My most epic run was in Underbog with five paladins, one protection (me) and four rets. Healing,= was done by committee, but hardly any was required. I've never cleared through any instance as fast before, or since!
May 5th 2008 1:47AM Blessing of light is extremely useful in any long fight where mana efficiency becomes an issue. Slap on blessing of light, and get bigger heals from downranked holy/flash of light for a longer period of time. This technique can be especially effective when your protection/ret paladin is suddenly and savagely forced into an ad hoc offhealing role.
Mar 31st 2008 1:39AM Congratulations, Amanda, for plumbing the depths of diminished returns on deconstructing gender roles and heteronormative stereotypes on World of Warcraft.
I can't wait for an in depth discussion on the stigmatization of necrophiliacs vis-a-vis Blizzard's portrayal of the Scourge and Forsaken as romantically and sexually undesirable.
Mar 26th 2008 3:06AM I don't care what the rewards are, I just want MOAR world PvP. If that means eliminating the battlegrounds, so be it.
Mar 20th 2008 1:20AM Mulgore is wonderful - it looks a little like Montana, which is what the developers were probably angling for. I also really liked Dun Murogh, with all the snowy trails and frozen lakes.
My least favorite is Durotar. Too big, too bleak, too boring.
Jan 31st 2008 5:48AM EVAPORATED: [H] The Corrupted (Burning Blade)
GM got a real life, leaving dozens straggling to other guilds. Oh, the drama!
Nov 28th 2007 6:41AM Balance of power and 3/3 moonglow are a must for raiding and heroics. These are absolutely not optional! Take the three points out of control of nature to spend on moonglow to help mitigate mana inefficiency.
