Mar 7th 2012 12:50AM Jedi mind trick to get you to bring them customers.
I won't do it for a mount (sorry but mounts are for casuals) but I’d do it for a T13 full set of the lowest ilevel for a single character of my choice. It would basically get you up to speed on gear to be able to raid (very important for former raiders to get in shape ASAP to raid again).
As a former raider, if I am not coming back to WOW its because of the grind to get in shape to really raid.
Feb 5th 2011 5:44PM This is where I disagree with you.
You consider the forums as a venting place of a 1 way communication (or even 0 way if no one reads).
If Blizzard was not intending for the forums to be a 2 ways then they should just remove them.
Or I would by far prefer to see an allowance of 10 posts a month if that was to give less reading work to CM for more writing on their part.
The community forums ARE part of the $15 you pay every month.
If they really are extras then they should be clearly identified as such.
Feb 5th 2011 4:40PM Normal Stonecore.
Group appears, we buff up, I start off by saying
"let's mark CC targets"
You guessed it, barely a second goes by, and the druid bear rushes in to tank the entire first pull.
Within seconds I'm hit by a fear - no problem - Will of the Forsaken out!
BAM! I'm hit by a Shadowfury stun.
Upon recovery, it's a mad dash to AoE heal everyone back up, but it's a wipe. After we finally clear that 1st pull, a few pulls later is a bunch of humanoids.
"we should really use CC here"
You have been removed from the group.
*Your* story of being kicked as a Healer
Not a single blue response over those 28 pages
GG Blizzard communication
Feb 5th 2011 3:30PM 2 blue posts ever in the healing forum
GG to Blizzard communication !
No doubt healers are quitting en masse facing the new blame game in the heroic 5 man.
Feb 5th 2011 3:27PM For the last 3 weeks, did you read the shamans threads in the healing forums ?
No blue responses, nothing that gives us a clue to what will be done to fix shamans.
Yeah MTT is nerfed ...
It even comes to the point where shamans are writing shaman jokes thread about themselves.
And still no blue response.
If you call GM ticket communication then yeah, its improving, otherwise the blue per day post as appearing into http://blue.mmo-champion.com/ is going down, not up.
Feb 5th 2011 2:58PM oops meant Public Relation and not RP.
Feb 5th 2011 2:57PM the lack of communication hurts Blizzard.
Are they doing games for themselves or for the customers ?
If customers why don't they communicate with the customers ?
They deserve to be burnt with the bad RP lately.
Sep 5th 2010 11:25PM If you keep Power Infusion for yourself, and macro it to your shield button, you should be able to save a lot of mana. Also when you are at 50% mana left, use the shadowfiend with Hymn of Hope. Hymn of Hope increases the shadowfiend mana return by 20%.
If you do that, then you no longer need to get for INT.
I consider INT as a comfort stats, one that you use if you are not (or don't care about) properly rotating your regen abilities. Gemming for pure spellpower could increase your output by up to 25%!
As usual, double Solaces terribly help such a configuration.
If you really insist on INT then I'd recommend you gem spellpower and use the Greatness INT card. That card can return a lot of mana from rapture (+390 INT when its up) and even more if you use shadowfiend on Greatness procs.
Sep 5th 2010 10:56PM There is a way more simple explanation to that belief, even before looking at formulas.
The absorbs breakdown by World of Logs is wrong.
The total absorb is not too far from what really happens, but the Divine Aegis % is wrong:
There isn't enough raw healing to generate so much DA absorption.
Rule of thumb is that DA can potentially do 1/3 or a 1/3 of all crit capable raw healing, this is like 10% of all raw healing (raw healing = overhealing+effective healing).
The 1st 1/3 comes from the fact that priests usually have around 33% crit
And the second 1/3 is the 30% of the Divine Aegis 3 talent points...
so 1/3 of 1/3 is 1/9... around 10%.
Usually discipline priests shielding the raid don't produce much raw healing... certainly not via PWS Glyph. POM can do some 20-30% of raw healing, but then the 1/3 of 1/3 rule degenerates it into 2-3% to DA, and WOL very often shows DA at 25-30% which is not true nor possible.
What really worries me here is that you have Blue Posts from Ghostcrawler that clearly shows he is using incorrect WOL numbers to design the future of the discipline spec for Cataclysm.
Devs should not be using buggy 3rd party web sites to plan and make decision on the future of a spec.
This is a complete lack of professionalism, seriousness and respect of their customers.
And I stop here shaking my head.
Aug 26th 2010 8:25PM I did try GRID and I didn't like it because it only can show a DELTA of the health as a number, and only if some health is missing. Whereas PITBULL 4.0 (the screenshot I attached above) shows virtually anything you want, a %, the max health, the delta, anything.
Another important point (for me, again its an opinion) is to treat a UI as a Head Up Display (HUD) as much as possible. So I don't need to know about who is not in my range because I can not do anything at all for them, those folks just overload my UI and take my attention away from Folks I can act on right now. I think GRID can do that too from my test.
Really consider this: put the 'range' transparency to 100% if someone is not in your healing range.
Your UI is going to clear up so fast and you can focus better, and this without changing anything at all at your setup (and its easily reversible if you don't like it, its just a % on frame transparency).
