Breakfast Topic: The first thing you do in patch 4.0.1 {WoW}

Oct 12th 2010 10:18PM I'd really like to see more articles on Masteries. I think this is the biggest (and hardest to grasp initially) change to class dynamics!

iPhone 4 first hands-on! (update: FaceTime video demo) {Engadget}

Jun 14th 2010 5:59PM @The LadyKiller
It's just Apple philosophy 101. Rather than release something in a wide way and have a ton of problems, they typically release it in a narrow sense first. Now FaceTime is only iPhone4-to-iPhone4 and only over WiFi. You'll soon see iChat's name in OSX changed to FaceTime, and it will be compatible between iPhone 4 and all Macs with the newest OS. Once that is working smoothly, you might see it over the wireless network, but that's just as much an AT&T issue as anything (3G should be able to handle FaceTime with a certian number of users, but maybe not).

iPhone 4 first hands-on! (update: FaceTime video demo) {Engadget}

Jun 14th 2010 5:55PM Hey Engadget: PLEASE please PLEASE do a thorough review of the HD Video Camera asap -- I want to know how well this thing compares to, say, the FlipHD so that I can decide whether the iPhone4 is worth the upgrade for me. Thanks!

AT&T, O2 post updates on iPhone 3G stock situation, promise they don't have a secret cache {Engadget}

Jul 24th 2008 7:17PM All I know is that I've been waiting 10 days and counting for my 16GB Black iPhone 3G via "direct fulfillment" from AT&T. They told me when i bought it that it would be in before the end of what is now this week (in other words, two more days).

I think this is absolutely REDICULOUS. Apple manufactured millions of these things, and they can't get them to PAYING CUSTOMERS in less than 2 weeks?

And by the way, this is Apple's fault just as much as AT&Ts. They can't very well give me a phone that the manufacturer hasn't shipped them yet.

I'm a fan of Apple, but this is just frustrating.

Sony cutting 80GB PS3 price to $400 in September, ditching backwards compatibility {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2008 5:34PM Engadget: Sony IN NO WAY said that they were ditching backwards compatibility, that's a bad inference.

RATHER, the current 40GB non-BC sku is getting a hard drive bump to 80GB. That is all the announcement said.

It's much more likely to assume that what is now the "big" system" (80GB) will get a hard drive bump as well (120GB or even 160GB). Otherwise, why would they call their new version the "Core" system?

'Come on, gang.

Engadget & Joystiq live from Microsoft's E3 2008 keynote {Engadget}

Jul 14th 2008 4:15PM MS just kicked the PS3 in the nuts REALLY hard by stealing away FFXIII. There is no end of hugeness to that victory.

I'm a PS3 owner, but I still have to (begrudgingly) congratulate the 360 on this one. Way to use your deep pockets wisely, MS. You just stole the PS3's biggest system-seller of the year.

AT&T announces iPhone 3G pricing plans {Engadget}

Jul 1st 2008 1:00PM AT&T has the absolute worst pricing on earth. If Apple had gone multi-carrier (or even just added T-Mobile) they would sell at least twice as many handsets.
