Jul 6th 2010 1:41PM Gogo fake information in the battle.net signup. This won't do a thing to stop trolls, aside from removing 90% of their potential audience. I sure as hell won't be using the forums again, won't be purchasing any further Battle.net games and will be thinking long and hard about whether I want to reup my sub to WoW next time it expires.
And no, it's not about paranoia over people searching my name, you have to go 50 pages deep in google to find the first non-genealogy related trace of me. It's the principle of Blizzard making choices for me that they have no business making. They've overstepped their bounds.
Jun 22nd 2010 6:10PM So basically in their rush to get the Farcebook-esque garbage out the door they forgot to do QA testing?
Jun 7th 2010 5:38PM We use SKG in my guild, but don't bother with an SK addon in game as we've found addons to be more of a pain in the backside than they're worth. The list is maintained on our private forums and the suicides are handled either through a custom java app our GM built or handled manually if need be. It works out very well for us and the only loot "drama" I can recall in the last 3 years has been over the rare misreading of the list or debate over what constitutes offspec.
May 5th 2010 7:16PM "And no, friend of friends can't see your real name unless you give them your Real ID, that's covered in the FAQ."
Perhaps I'm misreading your inent, but "If you are using Real ID, your mutual Real ID friends, *as well as their Real ID friends*, will be able to see your first and last name (the name registered to the Battle.net account)." Sure sounds like random people I don't know would be able to see my name to me.
May 5th 2010 4:21PM Basically seals the fact that I won't be using it. Not enough control over what information is presented and to whom it's presented.
Apr 16th 2010 1:39PM Count me in. Because, admit it, everything looks more awesome in shadowform
Mar 30th 2009 8:14AM CoT: Gnomer or maybe another dwarven excavation type run could be interesting.
Feb 10th 2009 1:11PM lol Ammo selling. Engineers have one of the best gathering skills in the game with their trusty zapthrottle
Feb 8th 2009 11:17PM I'll agree they should be the same ilvl for equivalent gear, but as good? Hell no. make the stats divergent enough that an Ulduar-10 weapon is equal or superior to a Furious glad weapon for PvE and an conversely a mid range PvP weapon should be equal or better than an Ulduar-25 drop for PvP
