Aug 1st 2009 10:27AM I'd never looked at suicide kings before, but that system is retarded....It encourages passing on loot that is not the piece you really really want, all loot, just in case. It's too absolute about moving to the bottom of the list.
Jul 27th 2009 11:11AM "*Players kept getting one-shot by Ingvar's Smash and the axe AoE. "Why didn't they move out of it?" you (reasonably) ask. I still do not know."
I know why, I play a healer, and I expect stuff like that to happen all the time. When healing, always expect someone to fuck up. And just be happy if they don't. Example, I did H HoS yesterday, my friend just hit 80 and I've been helping him through instances and into groups. We get to the stone boss who pulls a gruul move. Before the fight, I say three times. When you get thrown, stay away from each other. "Is that it?" Yes, just stay away from each other while you turn to stone. "That sounds easy" Yes, it is, just spread out and you'll be fine.
Every single throw hit the tank and one of the melee dps hard, and the final one at 60k health hit 3 people, killing them instantly. I had to dps the boss down after he one shot the mage.
Jul 13th 2009 7:32PM It's not my fault that plate is my best and slot and I can't wear it. Go go disc priests.
Jul 13th 2009 7:28PM A lot of plate would probably be BiS for disc priests, how do you think we feel? Only being able to go for cloth? Honestly, glad I'm in a guild with a rational set of officers. We use dkp, but we still use first priority for your armor type and primary weapon.
ie. Lotrafen drops, spear from vezax. It's best in slot for hunters, but we have a two-handed melee class who hasn't seen a weapon since halfway through naxx 25. The hunter bids more, but the spear is still a melee weapon, so it goes to the melee. The hunter got his ranged weapon, with no competition, he's not automatically getting a stat stick because it's best in slot. When the melee could benefit from the dps. He got the spear the next week, with no one else bidding on it.
May 16th 2009 4:40AM I can't stand using grid or healbot, x-perl and decursive for me. The other two did too much or too little. Were too large/small, X-perl takes me about five minutes of set-up and is base enough that when addons go down I'm not completely lost healing without them.
Apr 11th 2009 12:42PM I'm not sure why people say the 10-mans are harder, I've always found 25 mans to be more difficult than the ten mans, we've even learned 10-man sarth faster than we've learned the 25 man version. You just need more strict class balance to do the ten man.
Mar 20th 2009 6:26PM I farmed 18 hours for the red whelpling, where there are hundreds of spawned whelps that drop it. I only farmed 3 hours for the green, where there are a handful of spawned whelps. The blue was like 25 hours in all :P
Mar 7th 2009 4:28PM Teron Gorefiend. I had been brought into the raid like two weeks prior, and I was still wearing my dungeon blues and crafted epics. Had read about the fight a few times, but never watched it. I figured I'd get to see someone else kite the adds and then do it later. Sure enough, out of 25 people, the only new person to the fight gets the debuff. I not only killed my adds, but I also killed someone elses and then I started dps'ing the boss. We wipe, and I am the first to go again, and I do the same thing, again.
We went back into black temple recently for a fun run, and one of our hunters who I knew wasn't very good got picked out. I was like oh man, lets see how he does. All four of his ghosts reach the raid. I say to him on vent, congrats, you have wiped the raid.
Mar 7th 2009 4:02PM An escape, something to let us get away, all specs, and I don't mean a movement speed buff. What if fade worked in pvp with all specs, it'd be nice to see fade actually popped the priest into a mini-invisible state.
