The Queue: PVP, player models, and applying to WoW Insider {WoW}

Oct 24th 2011 1:40PM Thanks both of you for the comments. I was hoping I missed it and Blizzard said something directly on point.

I'm really excited for new content and the expansion. My only concern is spec specific choices (like these 2 optional play styles) which don't seem to fit with the current structure they announced. There is a long way to the release date, though, so anything can happen.

Oct 24th 2011 12:32PM I was wondering if anyone at Blizzard said how they will handle what are currently "sub specs" (other than the druid change) while doing away with traditional talents.

The best PVE example would be the Disc Priest. Currently, you can be an atonement disc priest or a shield-based disc priests. This was one of my favorite parts of Cata, but it seems like now you won't have that choice.

In PVP it happens with many specs. Are all spec now going to get PVP talents by default without forgoing any PVE viability?

Spiritual Guidance: The basics of shadow priest PVP {WoW}

Jun 30th 2011 10:22AM This does not work anymore. You only can get the +400 resilience from 1 of the 2 sets, not both. As someone pointed out about, the healer set is better than the DPS set. The added bonus of having your shield give you a 4 second immunity to movement impairing effects is awesome.

Breakfast Topic: Are you satisfied or disappointed with minor glyphs? {WoW}

May 24th 2011 9:44AM For my shadow priest I have always wanted a minor glyph to make my PW:shield look more shadow-ish. In PVP I cast it a lot as a shadow priest.

May 17th 2011 12:22PM Shadow Priest, hands down.

A warlock is evil. Quite clearly they call on demons to do their bidding. But you know a warlock when you see them. The demon stench on them alone gives them away. They don't hide their chosen art from the world.

A shadow priest is far more sinister. Still able to heal and protect, they can toil away in the church or rectory, seeming to be a source of good. In reality, they can hide within the shadows, harnessing the would be good energy to do their evil bidding. And what is their course of attack? They go into your mind. Far from the run of the mill evil of sending a fire ball or the lunacy of a demon minion, a shadow priest will slowly torture you with their a long winded pain, they will infect your mind causing you to run in fear or drop your weapon while you pee your pants and will take control of your body and have you run off a cliff. And not to be outdone, they can call upon their own fiend to eat your sole. Then they can pop out of the shadows and welcome you in church the following week, probably taking money from you to add insult to injury.

To quote Vincent Antonelli "Some people they take your money, but these people...they take your HEART"

May 16th 2011 12:44PM Thanks Loop! I missed that. Any word on the set bonuses?

May 16th 2011 12:12PM How far before TB starts are you queuing? or are you waiting until it is in progress?

The only times I don't get in are related to me queuing right before TB starts (or during it) at peek server times. I'm on a mid population server.

May 16th 2011 12:10PM Questions for the Queue:

I've seen a lot of information about the T12 sets (bonuses and art). I haven't seen anything about new PVP sets or bonuses. Has anything been announced?

Any hint on whether epic gems will be coming in 4.2?

The Queue: The origin of Ghostcrawler {WoW}

Apr 19th 2011 11:43AM @noyou

When they introduced epic gems in LK, did they up the JC only gem stats? At the end of LK, the JC only gems gave an advantage consistent with the advantage gained from BS, LW, etc. So were the JC only gems just out of control good at the beginning of LK (when there were no epic gems) or did they improve the JC only gems to compensate for the epics?

Apr 19th 2011 11:19AM Question for the Queue: Has there been any announcement for how JC will progress in the expansion?

I've seen some blogs/forums discussing releasing epic gems/cuts other than chimera's eye. If they do this, they will weaken the JC crafters bonus (currently + 81 INT vs. using 3 brilliant inferno rubies, for example), unless they also release or augment the current chimera's eye cuts. Is this something that occurred in other expansions?
