Great Contact quote.
Jul 7th 2010 5:52PM As I said, Blizzard has gotten into bed with Facebook.
These changes are about money my friends. No one in altruistic when it comes to millions and millions of dollars of capital needed to support and maintain such endeavors.
By Blizzard coming right out and saying they are partnering with Facebook, it only reinforces my beliefs, that they are looking at this as a potential new revenue stream and not simply a way to keep in touch.
They are looking to market to your friends who are NOT players of Blizzard games. That is the real reason here. Viral advertising.
Jul 7th 2010 5:09PM From a fiscal standpoint, its surprising to me that during this lull in the summer months, with so many people burning out and on break, they come up with this news, further supporting people's decisions to stop playing. I have a belief that many of the aforementioned breaks will become permanent due to this.
I don't support Facebook, I don't have a Facebook or Myspace page or any other social networking exposure and never have. I don't like the idea that these social sites serve 1 purpose and 1 only.
To aggregate data.
Do you really think a company like Facebook is just out to provide a free service to people to communicate with? No. It is to aggregate personal data and make money off the data they can provide to others.
Blizzard is a gaming company that has gotten into bed with Facebook it seems. Since Blizz has access to lots of our personal and habit based data I can see why a tighter integration with something like Facebook makes so much sense. They can push players to that data collection service (Facebook) get a headhunting fee for pushing that data to the service, but keep its hands somewhat clean of the act themselves.
Since I am in fact on a break from WoW, I see nothing in Cataclysm that is enough to make me change my stance on my personal privacy and make me want to return to WoW I am very sorry to say.

50g for a solid star of Elune. (+12 to stamina).
500g for a Solid Empyrean Sapphire (+15 stamina).
450g for 3 stamina? I don't care how rich a person you are, it just doesn't make sense to me at least.
Aug 20th 2007 5:49PM Actually, everything about this cloak is superior to the Sgts cloak.
More Stam (gemmed with solid).
I hope its white and longer than most.
Aug 2nd 2007 10:02AM hehe, i was going to correct your correction, but by merciful Elune you noticed it first :)
