Jan 25th 2010 3:45PM Does the new writer of the Restoration Shaman column get to name their new column? These are important details!
Jan 8th 2010 4:22PM @IvanZephyr
Yes, blogging because these people are not journalists. Adam isn't stating his opinion here, he is posting this as fact (with a little opinion thrown in later). That's how wow.com differs from a lot of blogs run by individuals. It tries to present itself as a news source for anything pertaining to WoW. I will be GTFOing after this post and many other stupidly written ones. But, you can stay and add to the idiocy on this site. Enjoy!
Jan 8th 2010 3:15PM This is some really irresponsible blogging. They do not push admins to give care packages; the care package is one of the options. That is made clear to players when they speak to someone. NGL, this story makes me very upset because your site has now created controversy by sensationalizing this practice into something it's not. Blizzard isn't out to cheat players out of their restores to save man power, they are giving the players to option to decide which path to choose. Your "source" sounds like a disgruntled employee out to make an issue out of nothing.
Good job, Adam and wow.com. Aren't there more inane things to post like lame youtube movies or something?
Nov 27th 2009 12:21PM That song isn't about being a bad ass; it's about someone who is willing to take on their lover's troubles and baggage. This movie basically took the title and ran with it. It's just plain stupid. The plot and dialog need to improve drastically in the next installment. Perhaps they should read the lyrics of the next song they use just to be sure it makes sense.
Oct 28th 2009 10:08PM Can you transcribe this so we don't have listen to all that background noise?
Oct 8th 2009 9:12AM Yes please!
Jun 20th 2009 6:06PM You forgot to mention that the old witch shows you your future giving you a taste of in-flight pvp combat.
Mar 31st 2009 9:34PM I'd just like to leave some feedback on this series since I'm completely new to this game.
While these articles are a nice overview they don't offer certain tidbits of information that are necessary to help a noob progress. Beside some of the articles seeming to present parts of the game out of order, you don't mention that one will need to look for scrolls to upgrade their abilities starting even at the early levels which can be obtained from vendors and the AH so reference the FFXIclopedia.org for which spells become available at any particular level. You should also suggest Sandoria as a starting city since it's the easiest to navigate and is just one region away from the dunes (since that is a very popular area to party after lvl 10/11). I would also encourage noobs to sell anything they can on the AH since getting gil is hard from just killing mobs. Questing does offer some gil depending on the quest but it's not much considering the state of economies in this game with many established players. In addition, linking to ffxi-atlas.com would be tremendously helpful. I started in Windhurst which was a nightmare because I got completely lost. Once I was told about that site, it was like day and night with my ability to find what I needed quickly in any region or city. And finally, inform us noobs of how to make our items stack in our bags because as you plow through mobs or just pick at them (lol whm), your bags get very full, very fast when this setting is not active. I have learned a lot the hard way and there are a lot things you all might take for granted as seasoned players but a complete noob to the game won't know to ask.
Oct 23rd 2008 11:53PM @Fenom: You are incorrect about healing stream. It is not raid wide, no water totems are raid wide. So this:
"...now that totem's raidwide, even if you're the only shaman, you have to use it over mana spring, there're shitload more other ways to regen mana, no one else has a raidwide health regen, and as long as there's one other shaman, then you just let them drop mana, and you drop the toem that scales with your healing gear..."
... is incorrect.
