Rational gamers choose subsidized hardware, all else equal [update 2] {Joystiq}

Sep 14th 2006 8:57PM What people are forgetting is why a company is created: to make a profit. Nintendo has had two profit losing quarters in the past 50+ years. Sony's games division loses money in the first two years of its console launches but eventually starts turning a profit. Microsoft's games division has been in the business since 2001 and has yet to get out of the red. Microsoft and Sony are taking a hit on consoles because if they don't then nobody will buy the systems. Nintendo will be making a profit off of its hardware and all of a sudden they're getting criticized? Pull your heads out of your asses. Nintendo is just making smart business decisions.

Single player review - Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Xbox 360) {Joystiq}

Mar 20th 2006 12:33PM Good review, but I like to think as GRAW as a 3rd person shooter than an FPS. So it can't really be compared to other FPS games.

I do agree that the game looks amazing, but I think it controls better than what you say. I would've bought it if Elder Scrolls wasn't coming out this week.
