Oct 21st 2010 9:54PM I can't help but think what a cool girlfriend that dude has, to not only go along with that but have a smile on her face. Count yourself lucky, my friend!
Aug 19th 2010 7:38PM I quit again about a month ago. Was 11/12 in ICC, pugging it...got tired of weeks going by without a group willing to put the attempts in on Lich King to finish the place off. I have also just slowly been losing interest in the game, overall. I've played since the open beta, taking three major breaks along the way...and while I never say never, what I'm seeing of the Cataclysm beta is not getting me fired up to return, at all. Pretty sure I'm done with the game, finally. Now it's just a wait for Diablo 3.
If you're a veteran pondering a return right now, I'd suggest just waiting for the expansion to hit. Nobody wants to run the Wrath dungeons anymore, raids are impatient and good ones are hard to come by, anyway. Besides, you're gonna have to re-learn a whole lot of stuff with the expansion, anyway - they're changing pretty much everything, it looks like.
Jul 19th 2010 6:55PM Yeah, I did my time doing the 4-5 night a week raid guild. Got to be the 3rd best-geared mage on my server at the time (during Ulduar) and burned out, big time...quit the game for six months. Came back after Blizzard gave me the "free week" pass, but I'll never, ever go back to playing the way I was. Just not worth the hits my real life takes, doing it.
Jul 1st 2010 5:24PM Seconded...I'm purposely avoiding spoiling the expansion for myself by reading all these data dumps, etc... I want to experience it as it should be - in game.
Jun 29th 2010 6:44PM Yes, we tanks KNOW you hunters think your pets are tanks...because every instance we zone into with a hunter, they invariably leave growl on and pull the instance for us. Most consistently annoying members of any 5 man, IMO.
Jun 28th 2010 4:19PM My vote goes to Maraudon, too...especially with the random dungeon finder. If you wipe, might as well drop group because most of the people won't be able to find their way back to the zone-in point. That, and the fact that between 40-44 you will ONLY run Mara purple
Jun 24th 2010 5:04PM It's too bad my ex-wife didn't see WoW (or any of my hobbies) this way. You're a lucky guy :)
Jun 16th 2010 7:09PM There has to be a passage of time between Wrath and Cataclysm, story-wise...looking at the amount of foliage growth in areas that were otherwise barren, new construction in areas that had none, at LEAST a few years have passed since the death of the Lich King. It's not like you kill Arthas and the next day, Deathwing explodes onto the scene and the world is instantly changed. These kinds of changes they're showing in the screen shots would take years to happen.
Jun 10th 2010 5:27PM Fully agree with the comments that Arthas/Lich King was too prominent...too accessible. He should have only showed up on rare occasion. I don't mind that they had him play a role in the game other than being a boss to kill at the end, but they wayyyy overdid it.
