Jul 6th 2010 11:37PM I don't get it. I've been on a roller coaster ride with blizzard the past three months being in the SC2 beta. Blizzard announces something (No chat rooms for example). Huge backlash from the community, blue post, things calm down. Then something else comes up (Region Locking). after a few weeks finally we get clarification. Things calm down. Now this.
Don't get me wrong SC2 is an amazing game. However B.net 2.0 has been a fustercluck all of beta. It's the #1 complaint on the forums.
Whoever is making the decisions for things that are not game related (B.net, forums, etc.) needs to be fired. The last three months have been absolutely ridiculous.
Jul 6th 2010 11:34PM Make that 15 years of playing any game.
Scratch that. In my entire life, I don't think ive seen such swift backlash to an idea. There may be an outcry, but there are at least proponents.
I don't think I've seen one post that has able to stay what good this will do other than reduce trolls. The cons are far to high.
Jul 6th 2010 11:32PM In 5 years of playing this game I have never seen the amount of sheer backlash against a change, idea, or anything blizzard has put forward.
That alone should tell them this is a bad idea.
Jul 6th 2010 11:30PM Sure. Lemme do that and add an authenticator onto my account.
Oh noes! My iPhone died/My Authenticator Broke. Let me call up technical support so they can remove it. All they will need is my account information, my name, and proof of identity...
Jun 30th 2010 11:13PM Hey, i played a SPriest in BC. How do you think I felt with wrath came out.
Also, it's a 2 hour cool down. It will only be used the beginning of raids to get everyone there quickly. You'll still get to use your summons for replacements and stragglers.
Jun 8th 2010 11:04PM "This fireball kills warlocks"
+10 internet points for whoever gets the reference. =D
Apr 21st 2010 10:45PM Probably the biggest reason for the lack of normal bans is that they don't have the manhours dedicated to these games. I mean they were both released over a decade ago (aside from LoD). It's much eazier, and cheaper, for blizzard to not pay attention for awhile and then do alot in one big banhammer pounding.
I assume that the banhammer comes down much more often in WoW and it won't happen like this in SCII.
Apr 18th 2010 11:50AM Do most non-arena/non-pvp players hate Arena because it nerfs spells even though they are balanced in a PvE setting? Or just they don't like Arena because it isn't fun to play?
I personally like Arena. I get the whole other aspect over it, but PvP Healing is way more fun than PvE healing. I would hate it if they ever got rid of it. (I PvE on my mage).
Jousting Daily. Blegh.
Apr 16th 2010 2:37PM it will also likely launch before then. I say middle november at the latest.
