Breakfast Topic: A love letter to WoW's texture artists {WoW}

May 19th 2010 7:27PM This!

The same thing happened to me on my first character. The difference for me was that I got stuck in Elwynn Forest because I was afraid of the uninviting nature of Westfall.

Why would I leave a nice friendly lush forest to go an arid landscape filled with rusty scarecrows, no thanks.

I got sick of being lvl 10 though so I got over it!

Totem Talk: Enhancement glyph review {WoW}

Mar 14th 2010 6:04AM Hey guys,

Apologies I don't want to hijack the topic or anything, I was just wondering if anyone knows what's going on with the elemental column?

If anyone knows that'd be great, otherwise feel free to grey me out.

The Queue: Ink Spots {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2009 9:05PM Does anyone know if patch 3.3 is going to have a cinematic for it like the Black Temple one for BC?

Defeating the anxiety of running your first instance {WoW}

Oct 30th 2009 6:32PM Your story is eerily close to mine CavalierX. My problem is that I'm of a nervous disposition and so grouping and messing up someone else's time is something that actually gets me genuinely anxious. I had a bad experience in one of my early grouping experiences and I just stopped grouping and started soloing everything. It changed my play experience so completely that I rerolled a Hunter just so I wouldnt have to rely on grouping!

That event happened 3 years ago give or take and I only did my first ever instance outside Deadmines this week. I by chance befriended player, got into his guild and his guildies dragged me kicking and screaming to my first instance in 3 years (Heroic HoL) and it was a complete blast. I was so happy to finally feel like I was playing the game I had always wanted to play and as a result I'm having the most fun I've ever had in this game.

Now the reason I'm going on about my story is because I felt we had a similiar experience and I had the same reaction as you more or less.

I'm urging you man, don't let a random group of nasty people dictate the game you play, if you want to start grouping go for it because it's your money and it's your time.

Happy Gaming man :)

The Guild season 3, episode 8 (with gag reel) {WoW}

Oct 20th 2009 9:12PM Agreed, but she was always a bitch to be fair. Her way of speaking grates on me.

Breakfast Topic: What we don't know {WoW}

Oct 20th 2009 10:50AM No problem, glad to hear I wasn't the only one who didn't know that! Happy levelling. :)

Breakfast Topic: What we don't know {WoW}

Oct 20th 2009 8:36AM I had this experience happen to me both ways last night actually. I randomly started talking to a guy and we both did Wintergrasp, he informed me that the quests such as 'A Rare Herb' and 'Warding The Warriors' can be completed by killing and looting the elementals in the respective areas. I've been missing out on so much honour and shards!

Conversely, I was talking to him about the buffs his class were getting in the next patch and the planned Battleground revamp and he had no idea. Personally I think Blizz could be doing a better job of communicating the basics of the game, but overall there's so much to this game that reading sites like this are needed as well to be in the know.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm announced {WoW}

Aug 21st 2009 3:12PM Noice! Really looking forward to seeing the screenshots! Wonder what the thinking behind adding 5 levels instead of 10 was? How will that affect talent trees?

Breakfast Topic: Would you play a neutral character? {WoW}

Aug 20th 2009 9:55AM I think it would be pretty cool to have a third faction as it might help even out faction imbalances (Granted that's complete baseless conjecture on my part :D). However I don't think we'll ever see something as drastic as this happen.

The reason being is that the game is just too successful. Blizzard are a victim of their own success in that they are probably afraid to change the game too much in case they break their winning formula. At least that's what I think....

Breakfast Topic: Loving the class you hate {WoW}

Aug 11th 2009 9:34AM This.

I've been playing WoW for 3 years or so now and always had an aversion to Shamans for no particular reason. I had tried every other class in some way but could never bring myself to try a Shaman.

Once I started playing Wintergrasp on my main however it all changed, I would see Resto Shamans healing with their chain heals bouncing everywhere and hear that noise when Earthliving procs (which I find to be an awesome sound for some inexplicable reason) and think: "Oooh coool"

After that I started levelling one elemental all the way and I'm loving it the more I play it, getting Lava Burst at 75 was a BIG moment. It's hard to get into a class you don't like for no reason; so you just have to find one! :) Over and out.
