May 4th 2009 8:22PM I didnt learn shit about how to play a ret paladin through leveling. I learned how to hit action button 1 and action button 2. I'm sure other classes have it a bit less shitty, but leveling isnt exactly vital.
And I do think it should be a "you have to get one character to level 80 first" kinda thing.
Hey, maybe that's it. At level 55, you can make a DK, or whatever other hero classes there ever are. At level 80, you can start an alt at level 55.
May 4th 2009 8:21PM This implementation, or something like it, would be nice.
IT brings to mind the fact that allowing other characters to start at 80 would help reduce the percentage of players that are deathknights. I feel terrible for the classes that have to roll on tier with them, lol.
May 4th 2009 8:13PM I absolutely agree. Leveling my first character was an on and off affair; I would get bored and sick of the game, frustrated with the shitty quests, and overall wasn't sure the game was wortwhile. Once I hit 58 things got much better, and 70-80 was incredibly fun. I would love to level another character (what retribution paladin wouldn't?) but nothing in heaven or hell could force me to play through 1-58 again.
And I don't want to play a DK. :P
May 3rd 2009 8:15PM Yeah, really.
I'm not saying Blizzard hates my class, but I am saying that they fucking suck at keeping it from being a lollercoaster.
Apr 22nd 2009 2:08PM They really got this battle.net garbage off to a great start.
So glad I didn't trust them for a second and waste my time switching.
Apr 22nd 2009 1:26AM This is absolutely true.
I think exorcism just needs to be nerfed to much less damage, but then given talents (deep) in the ret tree to buff it back up to where it was. That way holy can't abuse it, and what is looking like a very decent (even with a nerfed exorcism) prot build cant use it as well.
Apr 21st 2009 6:38PM This is true. I'd rather them remove it entirely from pvp than nerf it but leave it and screw us over from PVE.
Apr 21st 2009 6:34PM Having a ranged attack made pvp a lot more fun... one thing to use on CD when trapped/slowed or something. I'd like for them to balance exo and reinclude it as part of our arsenal.
Apr 14th 2009 6:05PM So for someone who hasn't done any fishing yet, would leveling it in Northrend be a smart idea? Smaller chance of getting fish, but how badly should that effect our leveling? Is it worth the chance of getting a turtle (for someone who isnt willing to farm-- just wouldn't mind a chance at an extra bonus for leveling fishing).
Apr 14th 2009 1:00PM I'm sure this has been said, but when leveling, you just need to know which stats are best for you, and pick the quest rewards that have those stats. You will be plenty good enough for leveling, particularly if you run some instances and get some blues from them (or just the quest rewards for instances and long quest chains are often good enough).
