Yes it's a long walk but that is the only real hurdle. I walked my BE Hunter all the way to Thunder Bluff at lvl 1 just so I could get Guns skill, I died only once, in Mulgore. Took about 30mins.
After giving the Scourge a nice jab in the eye you'll walk out of Ghostlands with a fluffy Tranquillien Champion's Cloak and flight paths for the Barrens and all Cities.

I'm not against the idea of Caverns of Time at all. I'd love to walk around Lordaeron City in its prime or pitch in with first or second wars. But from memory Arthas not only killed the undead of Strathholme but all the unturned citizens as well.
Now I can tell myself it's for the good of the "Time Line" but basic game play is likely to involve murdering innocent Alliance civilians and burning their houses down.
Kind of feeling divided here, though I can see why Horde players might get excited.
We've already Opened the Dark portal, thus dooming, Old Stormwind, and we've busted out Trall. I just want to do a Cavern of Time where we do something possitive in Alliance history. That's all my little moan was.

I don't think Arthas was Alliance flagged when he stuck Frostmorne into King Menethil, their Faction leader.
He later when on to wipe out Lordaeron, Uther Lightbringer and the Silver Hand, committed the Genocide of the High Elves and handed over Dalaran to the Legion's mercy. All Alliance targets.
He simply wasn't Alliance, he didn't call himself Alliance. The closest he gets is maybe Alliance Traitor.

There is a difference between passion for the game and the time you have to play it.
Aug 13th 2007 7:49AM I have agree with Richard. This article is a little inflammatory if you feel Raiding is out of your reach. The last paragraph basically reads:
"Please don't hate me because I'm pretty and talented and your not."
And that whole "Just beat up their Arena teams with your "welfare epics" and enjoy the leet skillz your casual PvP time has given you." is highly condescending to the group of players this article was supposedly reaching out to.
I've been reading WoW Insider for a few months now precisely because it was an alternative to the continual baiting on the WoW Forums. All this post was missing was the header: "Dear Casuals ..." and I it would have fitted right at home there.
Aug 13th 2007 7:16AM I think you're confusing WoW forum arguments with the reality of the game, I also think you're confusing passion for the game with avalbility to play it.
This is not about the lazy masses wanting to rip end game raiding out of the hands of hard working raiders, it's about the expansion having content casuals can get excited about, it's no more sinsiter than that.
