WRUP: Infuriating launcher detected {WoW}

Aug 7th 2010 3:26PM I haven't heard of this problem before. My download client stops at 100% at 4.1GB to go, but it doesn't seem to affect anything... I've been leveling my mage in new Tirisfal Glades quite well.
It's strange to think that I can play it and other people, who seem to have the exact same situation regarding the Updater, can't. Does the Play button not work for them?

Cataclysm Beta: New blacksmithing items revealed {WoW}

Jul 1st 2010 7:51AM I guess it's all in how you look at it. I just enjoy upgrading my characters' gear. Even with the "gear reset", I found it more enjoyable to play on my relatively newly 80 warrior than my raid-geared main, simply because my warrior was faced with much more clear-cut upgrades than my main.

The Queue: Strictly business. {WoW}

Jan 8th 2010 9:14PM While playing today, it struck me that some of the loading screen tips were new to me. In particular, one that read, "For additional features and functionality, merge your World of Warcraft account with a Blizzard account."
Since I'm not aware of any new features my account gives me in WoW itself, should I take this as a hint to the launch of 2.0?

The Queue: Blood and glory {WoW}

Nov 10th 2009 3:57PM With the new LFG system on the PTR, might a player in the random dungeon queue get paired with a player queued for a specific dungeon?
For instance, if I happen to be the only player in my entire battle group who actually wants to do Occulus, will the system force some poor saps in the random dungeon queue to join me?

The Queue: Snape, snape {WoW}

Jul 21st 2009 6:44PM In general, World of Warcraft is more centered on teamwork than individual power. While most classes and specs are in some way or another viable in a group, a large number wouldn't have a chance 1v1, which isn't fun.

Also, in a 1v1 bracket, even the slightest imbalance between specs and classes would be magnified to an absurd amount. It wouldn't be a true duel of player skill, but just a Spec of the Month contest.

Windows Home Server Power Pack 3 beta adds Windows 7 conveniences {Engadget}

Jul 17th 2009 2:04PM Will be interesting to see how this turns out, but I'm confused by the "support for full image backup of Windows 7 PCs" part... doesn't WHS already do that?

Daily Chores achievement is no longer a chore {WoW}

May 1st 2009 3:45PM I'm really glad to hear this... the prospect of not getting the title (And so my drake) because I can't play on a certain day of the week was quite disheartening.

Noblegarden will apply to What a Long, Strange Trip {WoW}

Mar 9th 2009 4:09PM That's disappointing... I hope there aren't any RNG achievements, though I suspect there are (Haven't checked yet).

Patch 3.1 Dual Spec walkthrough gallery {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 7:14PM Any word on players being able to "configure their talents before they are saved"?
