Dec 20th 2007 5:39PM And why is the Mustang the best selling sports car of all time (note source not provided)?

Simple:

It's a girl's car. It's been pussified.

Detroit 2008: The King is back atop the hill - 2009 Corvette ZR1 {Autoblog}

Dec 20th 2007 2:24PM Looking at a review of the HHR-SS by Edmunds Inside Line it turns out they were fairly impressed by its performance. Would I take an Exige over it? Sure, hell yeah, an Exige would be way more fun to drive. But if it beat an Exige on Nurburging that just means that it's faster on Nurburgring. It doesn't exclude Nurburgring from being a viable test track at all. If anything, that track specifically is probably the most like what you might find if you feel like blasting down some abandoned backroad anyway.

You're putting too much weight on comparison tests though. All things considered, an Exige is pretty fast around Nurburgring. And if you want to analyze the results more closely you'd find that it's VERY fast around the more technical sections. Similarly, the GT-R is VERY fast around Nurburgring, and from that fact you can gather it's VERY fast through both the technical and the power sections.

Dec 20th 2007 11:54AM @why not the LS2/LS7?

LOL, so performance on one of the more complex tracks out there is not indicative of track performance now?

You're starting to sound desperate, fanboy.

That same AWD system that has the GT-R accelerate like a rocket ship for 0-60 times will also help it accelerate earlier out of the corners. The GT-R will do just fine on a track, as evidenced by its Nurburgring time.

Dec 10th 2007 3:15PM Sonova...I should've bought an RX-8 then, because I sure do drive my WRX like I stole it sometimes. My Scooby sees redline on a probably-way-too-frequent basis, LOL.

Dec 10th 2007 2:40PM The S2000 already desperately needs more torque as well.

Dec 10th 2007 2:39PM Hi Mazda...just wanted you to know, I was in the market for an RX-8 a few months ago...but concerns about reliability of your rotary engine as well as lack of torque pushed me to what I now drive, an '04 WRX...a shame too, I think the RX-8 is a beautiful car that is very well balanced. More power and more reliability...plz...kthxbai.

Dec 4th 2007 4:24PM "Well thought out, great response" - uh, sorry if I didn't think your original comment was worthy of that kind of time? You're just another anti-import musclehead who only cares about going fast in a straight line. You think imports are crap cars, and I think you're a moron. 'Nuff said.
