Patch 3.2: Horde Tier 9 plate armor set gallery {WoW}

Jul 10th 2009 10:11PM I can't believe that no one commented on this.

The Argent Tournament is essentially Silver Covenant vs Sunreavers. It would stand to reason that if the horde t9 is blood elf styled, ie: Sunreaver, then the Alliance T9 would be Silver Covenant styled, ie: High Elf, not Draenei.

Curse, WoW Interface band together to block WoWMatrix {WoW}

Apr 14th 2009 4:30PM Well, the neat thing about business finance, is that once you're done throwing money out the window by supporting a leech, you can redirect those funds towards product development. By supporting WoWMatrix, you were forcing Curse to spend less time and money on making the Curse Updater worthwhile.

PTR quests show hard-mode progression, Ulduar storyline, Val'anyr {WoW}

Feb 28th 2009 1:22PM Well, with C'thun, you didn't actually fight C'thun proper, just his eye and mouth. We didn't kill him, just pushed him back, basically, he's still there, and can still cause a boatload of trouble, if he wants, or if Blizzard wants.

WWI '08 Panel: Shaman {WoW}

Jun 28th 2008 9:48AM doesn't it seem that making the totem buffs raidwide might actually affect the shaman's viability for raids? What I mean, is that my raid team has 2 elemental shaman, for the caster dps. Now, we only need one, which will leave one of the shaman out in the cold, since now, we don't need him, and it would be better to have a warlock or mage for the dps increase.

Ask WoW Insider: Any point to starting to raid before Wrath? {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2008 11:14AM Well, also, you shouldn't be raiding just because of the phat lewt. Yes, it's fun to run around IF in full T6, but that's just the side effect. I raid because I enjoy it. If you are just looking for neat gear, you're going to be miserable. Especially if you move to 25man content, where you're lucky if you get a drop every months or so. I think I killed Azgalor about 20 times before I got my T6 gloves. It wasn't the gear that made me happy, it was the raiding and the camaraderie, the challenge of a new boss, or of pushing the limits of my class and raid, that I enjoyed. If you just want to look pretty, buy some badge gear.

Answers from a Lore Nerd part 1 {WoW}

Allitan - Zin'Azshari was the capitol of the High Elves, not the Night Elves. While it is true, that at one time, the Quel'dorei and Kaldorei were one in the same, they split at the time of, or even before, the Great Sundering, which is WAY before the time of WC3. Suramar was actually the Kaldorei(read Night Elf) capitol.

While the Quel'dorei(read High Elf) were a pompous and proud people, using magic for gain and amusement, the Kaldorei were reclusive, conservative, and wanted NOTHING to do with the other races. In fact, the Kaldorei are rather reluctantly a member of the Alliance.

The Quel'dorei were slaughtered in HUGE numbers during Arthas' attack on the Sunwell. The survivors became the Sin'Dorei, or Blood Elves.

Also, the lore suggests that Suramar is smaller than Zin'Azshari.

Answers from a Lore Nerd part 1 {WoW}

May 18th 2008 11:55PM Torash -

While C'thun may be the only Old God named in WoW, we can make some conjecture.

C'thun is a reference to C'Thulu, who was one of the Old gods in the HP Lovecraft cannon(read some of his work, also read some of Neil Gaiman's work, HUGE Lovecraft Fan. Also, there's an amazing videogame called Eternal Darkness for the Nintendo GameCube based off of his lore. Play it.)

Anyways, Lovecraft had this whole mythos about the "Ancients", who were these crazy old gods, and the were pissed to the max. C'thulu was this whacky, crazy tentacled monster god thing who could F you up. Along with C'Thulu there were a whole host of Outer Gods[http://www.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Old_One](referenced in the Video Game). You can really take your pick, to be honest, I haven't studied enough of the out of game lore to know the function of the other three to make a guess as to the basis of their names, but yeah. There you have it, a place to start as to the names of the other Gods.

Arcane Brilliance: Azeroth's got talent {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2008 12:41PM You forgot about Arcane Meditation. It allows 30% of my mana regen while casting. Basically means that i don't ever have to drink between pulls in a raid.

Is Illidan bad or simply misunderstood? {WoW}

Jan 11th 2008 8:35PM Well, Kael'thas and Vashj aren't really evil or bad per se, either. The Naga are the more sinister of the outland baddies, with Aszhara's vanity and association with Sargeras, but rememeber, Sargeras used deceit and trickery. Think of him as the WoW version of Satan, the Father of Lies. As for the Blood Elves and Kael'thas, if you remember correctly, the once fought with the Alliance, and valiantly so. However, when Kael accepted help from the Naga, who were genuinely trying to help, a Human general, and all around paranoid psychopath named Grand Marshall Garithos arrested Kael and his people and imprisoned them in the dungeons of Dalaran. Illidan did what he felt was necessary to save his people, and he did actually save the Night Elves from certain destruction, as Tichondrius was just hanging out in what is now Felwood, decimating everything in his path. Illidan really didn't start to lose it until Malfurion banished him from the land and people he just saved. That's what triggered his drive for revenge. So, are all three evil? no. Persecution tends to make people a little nutty.

WoW Moviewatch: The Gods of Zul'Aman {WoW}

The Elves came from trolls is the speculation from the books.
