Apr 16th 2010 7:08AM You get 10 seconds - Counterspell locks him out for 8 (not 7), and he only ever tries to transform every 5 seconds.
Apr 6th 2010 5:50AM The doomguard also has Dispel Magic, which works much like the priest spell (no cooldown, no side effect other than the dispel, same name and icon).
Feb 20th 2010 12:29PM My guess is that Frozo selling frost lotus is just a PTR feature, to allow easier access to flasks for testing content.
Feb 19th 2010 8:44PM No. The PTR isn't up yet. Though based on the description I'm guessing it won't - auction addons use the API to control auctions, not the user interface. You might see some graphical issues, but the functionality shouldn't be a large issue.
It's a guess, mind you. I could be wrong.
Feb 19th 2010 7:07PM Oh, nevermind, I just checked, 3.3.5 is the one that will bring the Ruby dragonsomethingsomething. This is where you point and laugh.
Feb 16th 2010 1:58PM "and I'm sure a shot to the leg would have done the trick, the head? really? and with kids around in the line of fire? sounds like a whole family of bad decision makers"
Two problems with that. A shot in the leg will still do pretty major damage, blood loss and infections still pose a risk to the person's life, and even if he survives that, the leg is likely to take permanent damage. Also, hitting a specific point on a moving target is bloody difficult - it's much better to aim for the center of mass, giving you a higher chance to hit something at all. Aiming at the head isn't quite a good idea either, but it's better than going for the legs.
Feb 9th 2010 6:54PM They thought of that. You can't challenge the Lich King on Heroic mode without having defeated the other three wing end bosses on Heroic mode in the same raid ID.
Feb 3rd 2010 6:42AM Muse: Most likely, Vanilla WoW boxes will still install the original game, as will WotLK boxes, but when the patch process reaches 4.0, the new world will be installed over the old. Cataclysm boxes, if you can install the full game from them like you could with WotLK, will start from 4.0, and thus install the new world directly.
Creating a new vanilla box with the new world installed would be a lot of work for little benefit, as all the patches still need to be installed. It could also create confusion between old vanilla boxes and new ones. I don't think they'd do it.
Jan 12th 2010 2:06AM "But that even has an easy fix. Once a token is used for a successful login, it's no longer any good. For my wife and I, who share an authenticator, we wouldn't be able to use the same key like we usually do. It would inconvenience us by 60 seconds every login. That's a small price to pay for a world where nobody gets their account hacked."
This is how it works already, though most likely on a per-account basis if you and your wife can use the same code - so each code works only once per account.
