Jan 30th 2008 6:55PM Don't forget that they would have to make room for this class in PvE progression also. They can't just make a class just for PvP or PvE or reliant on any other classes. If they brought them to the game then they would have to fit them into everything. It would end up making it a double edged sword. Most of the fights they are useless and you can go without them. On other fights it would make them pretty needed and if you didn't have 1 then you would make it so much harder on yourself.
Jan 26th 2008 11:19AM No surprise here. As the first Horde MT on huhu and a MT on vashj there is no doubt that huhu is harder. If I die the raid wipes on vashj but I tank her the entire time through phases 1 and 3. On huhu I honestly never knew for sure if I was going to make it through. Unlike the alliance which had paladins pre-bc the horde didn't. We had to hope that our OT's would pull the aggro off us before we died. Most of the time we still died and that made the fight so hard to learn.
Oct 23rd 2007 8:27AM I can almost guarantee that more of them will be DPS specced for PvP/PvE then for tanking.
Oct 8th 2007 10:39AM Well technically the rogue serves as a vital tool to the tank. It's main job might look like heavy DPS output but that is more secondary even though it isn't far from it. The main thing the rogue does is kind of create a buffer between the tank and the healers/ranged DPS. The main role is the keep the enemy in the melee area and away from the healers. Sure they may die but they still have a better chance of surviving then the mage or priest the mob might go to.
Sep 3rd 2007 9:17AM I play in window mode and also have a laptop next to me that I use for my job. I will either open up Firefox and troll forums, or I will do some tedious busy work that the dull life of an accountant is full of.
Sep 2nd 2007 12:32PM I am an engineer and enchanter. Until the next patch I don't get anything for either of those professions from any of the rep vendors. I would like to see them add something. In the next patch the only enchant you can buy from a vendor that is NEW is 20 agi to weapon from violet eye. The other non gathering professions can each make something from somewhere for their class. I really get nothing for either of these 2 professions. I know they are adding even more enchants in the next patch but these enchants have been in the game since AQ came out. They are just changing the mats and making them available from the different rep. They aren't anywhere close to new they are awesome but not new.
I spent a lot of time getting all this rep for every single 1 of the factions in TBC. Out of them all the only reps I'm not exalted with are Mag'har, Scale of the Sands, and Ashtongue. I know that gathering professions obviously won't get anything from rep vendors but they can make enough money as it is. I on the other hand have 2 professions that in no way compliment the other and I have to go out and find all my Schematics/Formulas that aren't offered at the trainers. This is 1 thing that I would hope will be changed in the future.
Aug 30th 2007 12:37PM I could have sworn someone from Blizzard said that neither 1 completely possessed the other. When Arthas put on the Lich King's armor they merged and created 1 whole new being. They are 1 not multiple people at all.
Aug 29th 2007 6:30AM It would be very hard to change either of the AQ instances into something so small. Even going in there now with just kara and gruul gear would take about 15 people possibly more. The fights are so unique and class specific. You would need atleast 3 tanks for the first boss alone and the 4 anubisath pulls are ridiculous.
Naxx on the other hand you would need atleast 30 to fully complete the dungeon especially the 4 horseman. You have to have 4 tanks there as well as heavy DPS so that you can surely down them.
These lvl 60 40 man dungeons are still hard to an extent. Tuning Naxx to a 25 man for the first lvl 80 dungeon is going to be a challenge in itself if you are going to try and keep the fights somewhat the same. For Razuvious you need at least 2 priests with some +spell hit/penetration. 3 well geared tanks so that you can focus heals on the adds being CC'd.
If you ever went into Naxx you got the spend a lot of time learning these new fights that were so intricate and extremely unique. A lot of the things they did in Naxx they put into TBC just because they were such good ideas. The first actual boss in Heroic Mech had the +/- charges that was a huge part of the Thaddius fight.
As far as legendary items go I would like to see some in Naxx and maybe some that aren't for just 1 single fight at lvl 70 too. I highly doubt that there will be any artifacts in Naxx considering that it is going to be the first 25 man at lvl 80. I would like to see them bring back that unique artwork that the items in Naxx had that made them so ridiculously awesome. Can you say the castigator.
Aug 28th 2007 3:29AM It is the flask of chromatic wonder 35 to all resistances and 18 to all stats.
Aug 27th 2007 9:02AM I haven't actually found the "best" method really. There are a lot of different ones and they all work to an extent but just like 6 said. Nothing beats experience.
I am a protection warrior so my jobs is usually very simple. Hold this guy there and don't lose aggro. Sure there are some fights that are different but for the most part being the main tank is simple and strats aren't usually something I go over because I'm told to. I go over them cause I want to know if I need to keep shield block on CD throughout the fight. Should I hold 1 trash mob or just take 2 and let the fury warriors do the single tanking. Why do I have so much damn resistance gear.
Ya know stuff like that doesn't require me to watch a video or read a strat. My leader tells me what to do I do it and if other people screw the pooch then at least it wasn't my fault.
