Jun 21st 2010 1:43PM It's probably worth nothing that the 8A293 released today and the GM seeded to developers during WWDC are not the same file. The released version is slightly smaller, probably due to stripping debug symbols and the like from the package.

Blizzard: Run Oculus, win fabulous prizes {WoW}

Jan 5th 2010 2:12AM My money is on people toughing it out for their mounts and then never setting foot in the place again, much the same way people run Malygos for the Champion of the Frozen Wastes title and then go into hiding the moment anyone so much as mentions running Eye of Eternity.

New Spirit Beast pet found {WoW}

Jun 29th 2009 5:52PM That's ironic. My first wolf pet in Wrath of the Lich King was Cavedweller Worg named Sköll. I guess I'll be hunting for a new name.

Sköll, btw, is the name of one of the sons of Fenrir in Norse mythology.

Tigole speaks in Leipzig {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2007 9:13AM @4: Ian, isn't that the whole point of the Caverns of Time? The Infinite Dragonflight threatens the temporal integrity of key events in the Warcraft timeline, and we go back to either stop them or set things aright. It's a chance for those of us who played and loved the RTS games to go back and experience those memorable moments from a new perspective and get a rare opportunity to fight against or alongside the biggest names in the franchise. It's also a chance for those folks who never played the RTS series to see these events for the first time and realize exactly how folks like Thrall, Jaina, et al got to be where they are today.

That said, I do wish they'd be a bit more forthcoming with more CoT instances. Old Stratholme sounds fun, but let's touch on stuff folks have been clamoring for for a while now... things like the Fall of Gnomeregan, or a CoT PvP battleground based on the Assault on Blackrock Spire from the Second War...
