Nov 21st 2011 2:09AM Just wanted to mention this; you are not stuck choosing to use pounce or ravage, you can use both.
You can feral charge while stealthed, and after gaining the free ravage proc (which also allows you to use ravage without needing to be stealthed!) you can use whatever else you like while the free ravage proc buff is on you, and then you can still get your free ravage.
I say this because I usually begin my fights in stealth, and when combat begins, I feral charge while stealthed, use pounce, use mangle, THEN use my free ravage, before going about my normal rotational business.
Aug 1st 2011 6:11PM Sorry if this was already mentioned, I couldn't read all 100 comments, but I thought it was important to note that in your article you mention that Blizzard would be taking a percentage of all real-money auctions, when during a Press Event interview, Blizzard (specifically Jay Wilson) was clear to state that they are talking about flat fees per auction instead of percentages.
The big difference of course being that if it were a percentage, then Blizzard would then have an incentive for item prices to be more expensive, and they did not want to portray that image.
I know it's a small thing, but so far it seems that the RL money thing has been quite a polarizing issue, and many people are skeptical of potential 'skeeziness' or corporate greed.
I think Blizzard is handling it well so far; especially considering that if D3 has a gold-based AH but not a RL money based AH, then the situation is ripe for gold farmers, which can arguably have a more profound negative impact in a small-group game like D3 versus an open world MMO.

Jun 9th 2010 5:15PM I'm also curious about the starting level. I had figured it was starting at 15, but a couple of the comments in the rules ("Any class abilities are available at all times," as well as "You can Ironman alone or with a group. Eventually groups become necessary") got me thinking maybe it's 80.
I think the early dungeons will be really easy at 80, but they might be impossible for naked level 15s. Certainly one naked level 15 is not going to clear Ragefire Chasm.
Apr 22nd 2010 3:32PM I think that BadKitty is worth mentioning for a feral helper addon. It has great little notification icons letting you know what is expiring soon, a huge clearcasting icon that you can't miss, is smart enough to know not to bother you about Mangle if Trauma is up from an Arms warrior, and has optional bars that neatly track all of the pertinent information. (CPs, Energy, FF duration, etc.)
Apr 9th 2010 10:49AM Please, Tree of Life needs the Shrubbery of Elune ability... a little bush pet that you can send to a friendly target then channel a mini tranquility.
Mar 12th 2010 9:29AM As a guild leader that has faced similar problems in the past (both with healers and DPS) I can sympathize.
I have to side with the leaders' opinion of, "if the healers can't to X, then they definitely can't do Z, because Z is X plus Y."
Just as the players often get upset with "why aren't we even going to try it??" the leaders are upset that the players apparently can't see why trying it is an exercise in futility.
In guilds where player skill ranges widely; the leaders have an exceptionally difficult job trying to keep their best players while not totally alienating their worst players.
Often the best solution is to forsake all 'exploratory' and 'experimental' type ventures and just stick to the easiest boss available and work at it till you get it.
