Oct 6th 2009 11:14PM Is it really the case that you can't watch youtube clips full screen on this thing? I know that when flash 10.1 hits next year, it wont be an issue, but in the mean time... I'm planning on getting one of these to replace my hp dv6000, since all I use it for is web surfing and watching videos, but if I can't watch megavideo / youtube clips full screen untill flash 10.1, I might have second thoughts :(
Mar 1st 2008 10:39AM Whilst the change to improved is welcome, its in a place where no mage would get it. You cannot get the 41 point talent from frost or fire if you get imp blink, no arena mage is going to sacrifice their elemental for this talent.
I guess its an extra bit of survivablity for Pompyro magi, but its mainly arena mages that are QQing these days and you dont get many pompyro mages in arena.
The new molten shields talent is freakin awesome IMO. Whilst it means I need to find 2 points to sacrifice from my 0/41/20 fire pvp spec, its well worth it. Especailly with the lightning capicitor trinket I have, 3 crits from molten armor procs it against melee, gonna be so sweet to have that and impact proc for ranged/spells too. *drool*
Maybe not quite the buffs mages was expecting, but buffs are buffs and I for one welcome them. :)
Oh and if you ever use Mana Shield, you fail.
Now, if you could cast mana shield on enemies...that would be sweet...and OP :)
Feb 9th 2008 1:59PM I dont understand what "balance issues" there are to discover in a patch that seems to be nothing more than tweaks and bug fixes.
Jan 5th 2008 7:27AM Hmm, dont mean to be funny, but when Blizzard said there was 2 entry points to Northrend I already assumed that they meant 2 for horde and 2 for alliance.
Dec 28th 2007 7:27PM I'm not sure. I can see both sides of the arguement, and there are different implications for PVE and PVP.
If people want to spend thier real money on game money to help them level faster or do quests more easily, it's up to them. It's a game and it's for fun, you should be able to play how you want to, if you want to spend extra money to make it easier, go for it.
Why should you care that others had to grind for thier gold? It is, after all, just a game and there for your enjoyment.
I think for PVE it doesnt really make a difference, since you are essentially competing with the game.
For PVP however, I can see where the complaints lie.
It does seem like cheating that someone can buy a load of gold and pimp thier character with little to no effort. I am refering in particular to lower level twinks.
On the other hand, A twink with fully enchanted awesome boe gear, whether it was payed for with bought gold, or earned gold is the same twink with the same stats.
It isnt like the act of buying gold has given them an unatainable advantage over those who dont, its just they reached the same goal quicker and easier...and probably with no sense of achievment.
Sense of achievment is one of the main reasons many play games. Paying for gold is dumb, yes, but whether its cheating or not I am undecided.
Dec 24th 2007 9:59AM Don't bother buying any gear till at -least- lvl 20. If you cant do the quests with greens you've picked up, you might want to consider trying a diffferent class.
Never open the trade window expecting gold. Why should someone give you gold for no reason? The money you get from mobs and from selling trash should be enough to cover training and food/water.
Do as many quests as you can before heading back to hand them in. Doing one or two quests at a time wastes a lot of time running around, especially when you dont have a mount.
If you keep dying on a particular quest, you're probably not high enough level for it. Do other quests and come back later. Believe it or not, 1 or 2 levels can make a world of difference.
Quest with friends. Questing with 1 or 2 friends of similar level can make questing so much faster, for all of you.
Dont get hung up on loot. Its not worth your time doing the same instance repeatedly for an item you'll just replace in 5 levels, your time could be better spent questing.
Finally, download the lightheaded mod. It gives you ingame access to wowhead quest notes, making questing that much easier.
Dec 20th 2007 11:27AM For the Horde, of course.
Wow, a laptop that plays wow over 15fps, It'd be so alien to me.
Dec 12th 2007 10:03PM Sure, I'll make an application.
The only thing I love more than playing WoW is talking/writing about it, my main is a mage and its surely my favourite class.
Expect an incoming app from this belf mage, wowinsider!
Dec 10th 2007 7:44AM Its probably not fun for everyone else, but god knows how many times at the end of a raid or 5man I've teleported to Shatt instead of made a portal there.
Dec 8th 2007 8:47AM rofl, I didnt even notice it was a low level gun.
Why didnt you use your new link thing to link the item, wowinsider?
Thats like having an 18 year old perfectly formed girlfriend, but watching porn instead.
