Breakfast Topic: Tired of Cataclysm {WoW}

Aug 31st 2010 8:34AM I quit playing WoW about 4-5 months back due to raiding issues and time constraints. I swore I wasn't gonna play WoW again regardless as to what the expansion brought. Sadly I started reading small tidbits about the expansion and started getting excited to play. I even went out and bought a game time card to set up my account again when it got to be about 2 weeks prior to the release of Cataclysm.

I guess I'm still excited for the expansion cause I'm not involved with the beta and I don't read the blogs or watch the beta streaming videos that are out there. I certainly don't read any posts about spoilers but I do get excited reading the change and conversing with my friends about changes being made either for good or bad. As for the hype, I guess I could say I've never been let down when the expansions finally hit their release dates. So yeah, even with all the information leaking out about the expansion, I for one, am still excited.

The dying Hunter? {WoW}

Jul 11th 2009 10:51AM I can agree with the comments about the dwindling hunters. My main is an Alliance, Night Elf, Hunter and I know how bad it can be, being a hunter. Due to issues with raiding schedules with my family guild, I was forced to try and pug Naxx when I wanted to go there. We all know how pugs go, lets not get into that. So, as far as expansions go, this is the least raid/end-game time I've had. To try and fill the void of having fun with my hunter, my brother on his mage and I would do 2v2 Arena. Talk about horrible survivability, and I'm not talking about the mage, my hunter drops faster then a boulder in the ocean. Something definitely needs to be fixed with hunters to get a turn around with class play time.

Breakfast Topic: The ardent Argent {WoW}

May 26th 2009 8:35AM As it stands right now, I'm on my last day of dailies to get my Champion status with Stormwind and being a champion for all the cities. From there, its just a matter of time for patch 3.2 to hit and then I can move on from there. I've been saving all my Seals (except for the purchase of the staff) to buy out the Hippogryphon. It took me a while to get used to fighting the Champions but I've found my own little style and when I pull it off right, I'll take less then 8% damage sometimes. Other times, and I'm sure everyone has noticed this, it seems like the NPCs are cheating by charging and throwing a spear at the same time. I've had such good success with jousting that I was able to teach another player who was having a terrible time with the jousting. Gave her all my tips and tricks and I'm pretty sure she's moved onto Champions by now as well.

Sure, the AT might be a bit boring but hopefully it'll become more entertaining or thrilling once 3.2 hits. Speaking of the Coliseum, is this going to be the PvE version of Arenas I remember hearing about so many months ago? Where a group or team of players would fight enhanced versions of old content bosses? I remember hearing something about that and found it to be a very entertaining idea. Specially since one of my friends will not step foot in a BG or Arena to save his life (trauma from PvP in UO, lol).

Breakfast Topic: Do you treat Azeroth as a virtual extension of the real world? {WoW}

May 19th 2009 8:32AM I met my last girlfriend through WoW. We would chat in-game, I would help her with quests (since I was a much higher level), and just talk about stuff. This was all before we had the built in voice system in the game as well. We then took our talking outside the game to IM programs and then eventually to the phone. Luckily for me, she lived only 5 1/2 hours away and up in Canada, lol.

WoW is definitely a great way to meet new people from all over the world, I've also met some Australian people, and a few others from all walks of life.
