Spiritual Guidance: The sweet 40 - 60 {WoW}

Sep 28th 2008 6:46PM The Alliance camp on the border of Feralas/Thousand Needles does not aggro horde characters, so no real need to worry too much about it. I've stood right in the middle of the moonwell with my forsaken before. Nothing attacks.

WoW Moviewatch: The evolution of a Warlock {WoW}

Sep 21st 2008 5:32PM Of course, it had to be set to Linkin Park.

GC on raid stacking {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2008 7:13PM Erm, DPS classes HAVE had essential raid utility all along. The article is about raid stacking, not hybrids specifically. You're seeing thing through your little goggles of bias and paranoia.

GC on raid stacking {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2008 7:04PM "Remember that fine-tuning damage is going to be one of the last things they do for the classes in beta."

Or, something they don't do until 6 months after the expansion goes live, as was the case with mages last time around.

Breakfast Topic: Attunement, hassle or not a big deal? {WoW}

Jan 14th 2008 11:25AM While I'm a fan of many attunements on principle, some of them overreach/throttle a little too much. Attunements for SSC/TK needed to go and the one for Mount Hyjal needs to either be lifted or altered. The attunement for Black Temple is fine.

"Welfare epics" {WoW}

Nov 30th 2007 12:35AM 2 words fully represent the cheat that PVE is being dealt here: Hyjal attunement

You need to become attuned via defeating hard as hell guild killing bosses before you're worthy to obtain anything at the tier 6 level at all.

No such accomplishment is required to begin obtaining season 3 welfare epics. The date on the calendar rolls over and then everyone gets them.

Forum Post of the Day: Frost magi in Northrend {WoW}

Sep 3rd 2007 8:27PM How many holy priests actually respec every single week to grind?

Not too many that I've ever seen, tbh. They complain that they have to do it, but they don't actually do it.

Not the same as having to respec from one boss fight to the next TO raid. Not grind, not PVP.

Forum Post of the Day: Frost magi in Northrend {WoW}

Sep 3rd 2007 5:51PM Actually, it's not comparable to mobs immune to bleed or paladins having to spec holy at all.

It's more like having a boss that, while feral and holy paladin specs work wonderfully on everything else, suddenly comes up "immune to feral" or "immune to holy paladin". Which in the case of a mage, is about what it amounts to.

Point is, yeah, it was cute, and it had its time and place. But it's tired and overdone at this point. I would encourage Blizzard to not do away with boss magic immunities entirely necessarily, but at the very least carefully consider the annoyance factor of continuing to do so.

Totem Talk: Hi, I'm a Shaman. Take me to your instance. {WoW}

Aug 26th 2007 6:42PM http://www.lossendil.com/wws/?search=Black+Temple

Click on just about any boss.

Also, windfury totem is a staple of any melee dps group at this point. Our enhancement shaman out dps our mages on a regular basis.

Aug 26th 2007 6:27PM "So there we go. He's talking about DPS in PvP, you're talking about healing in PvE. Apples and oranges. Next question?"

Only so far as, relative to the number of people playing them, they are grossly over-represented in deep End Game raiding currently.

But of course, we wouldn't want to look on the bright side of anything, would we?
