Arcane Brilliance: On Deep Freeze {WoW}

Oct 4th 2008 3:55PM "This is why I should never write while angry."

While I agree with your points that Deep Freeze doesn't seem worth the 51pt talent it is now, I have to say I'm dissapointed with this post.

This post exhibits several signs of some of the worst dregs of the horrible posts you find on the WoW forums.

How can you call your column "relatively civil and non-combative" when the previous sentence is "Trust me when I say, Imaginary Blizzard Employee, that you do not want to piss off several hundred-thousand Frost Mages. You just don't."

Add in some incredible exaggeration (" Its fate will determine the viability of an entire spec in PvE" , "sucking like nothing has ever sucked before") and I'll just say that if this were a forum post it'd probably be deleted.

Again, a few good points sprinkled in there... but they're drowned out by the vile and hatred spewing forth.

Mage changes in beta build 8962 {WoW}

Sep 18th 2008 5:37PM Well, the obvious idea behind Arcane Blast is that it becomes more mana inefficient the more you cast it, therefore encouraging you to weave other spells into your rotation.

The problem in live is that Arcane Blast never got terribly mana inefficient... at least not enough that it outweighed the extra damage. So if I had plenty of potions and whatnot I'd just chain case AB in raids. Not terribly exciting.

It seems obvious that 300% increase is the wrong number, but I like the idea of not having a cap on the mana inefficiency.

Shawn Elliot leaves 1UP, GFW Radio {Joystiq}

Sep 18th 2008 9:43AM Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were a joke. Not even if he actually stopped working there for a few months, then popped back in sometime in 2009, "Ha! Gotcha!"

More beta keys sent out {WoW}

The Death Knight starting experience {WoW}

Aug 7th 2008 1:43PM Now, I could be wrong... but it's my understanding that you can have one Death Knight per server. And you have to have a lvl 55 character on your account to unlock the Death Knight for any server.

Aug 5th 2008 9:06PM Why not improve the game, even if it doesn't affect the Raiding game greatly? Is that the only game?

Watch animated Buffy while you can - VIDEO {AOL TV}

Aug 4th 2008 9:29AM Looks excellent, would definitely allow for some more extravagant fighting and baddies.

Definitely captures the early Buffy, with the sometimes trying too hard humor, and the usual spot on humor... "The harder they what?"

Utgarde Keep beta impressions {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2008 7:27PM There was a video by WoWRadio awhile ago of them doing the instance, and it looked like it'll take about an hour.

I'm not surprised people in the Beta found the instance easy. Like you said, it's the first instance in the beta and therefore tuned to people in greens.

There were some interesting, if simple, mechanics to the boss fights though. What more do you want?
