Apr 28th 2008 9:25AM 2 Things:
1. Saturday is May 3rd and Sunday is May 4th.
2. There is a "Running of the Bulls" scheduled by BRK/Ratshag/Aetherial Circle in honor of a lost guild mate on May 3rd at the exact same time you're proposing.
Personally I'd change yours to Sunday since you already have to adjust the text.
Feb 20th 2008 8:05AM I listen to audio books actually - at least when doing something boring like farming.
Jan 8th 2008 9:51AM You don't reduce your visibility if you use an addon that actually re-renders your view. CT Viewport is a great one to try (there are some Ace choices as well, I just havn't tested them to say if they're any good or not).
Nov 29th 2007 8:47AM Defense is one of those things that is simply necessary, like having your teeth cleaned. It's not always supposed to be fun and exciting. Will you get rolled over if there is an inadequate defense? Sure, but you can then communicate to the rest of your team what kind of opposition there is. I'm a resto druid who isn't really that great at pvp, I have a stupid blinking sign on my head that says free HK - and I still defend when I'm needed. Do I get tired of the incoming alliance killing me over and over? Yep ... but I do it in the hopes (that are often realized) that someone on my team is heading my way to help when they hear what's going on. If I can survive or delay them for just that long ... then I've done my job.
Nov 15th 2007 3:49PM @ #8 - I actually did that the other day (pre patch even). I was mounted in a battleground and when it ended, I popped into Shattrath mounted - and then my pet appeared beside me.
I haven't tried to recreate it, but I can't think of anything else that was different. I'm rarely mounted at the end of a BG, especially on my hunter.
Oct 19th 2007 11:24AM TradeskillInfo is an Ace option that combines things from Recipe Radar and Professions Book. A VERY handy add on. =)
Oct 5th 2007 7:09AM My tauren self thanks you - I knew there was a way, but I couldn't find it either. This will be helpful while trying to see around ... well me. =)
Oct 2nd 2007 2:23PM I enabled it last night ... only to crash seconds later while adjusting the output location (from speakers to headset). Fatal error sent, log back in ... re-enable, crash.
I'm assuming (but didn't take the time to test) that it just doesn't like how I want to set it up. If that works itself out I can still see how I'd prefer Vent ... I saw no way of normalizing voices.
In Vent, I have the settings written down in order to adjust for x person who yells, y person who whispers and z person who ranges in between. Once I applied those settings (can't remember now where I got them) - everyone's voices are around the same decibel level. I saw no way of even approximating that type of functionality in the Blizz client. =(
Sep 6th 2007 7:38PM Honestly I don't like the debuff meaning no honor ... my guild and I were talking and we really like the idea of just kicking them out of the BG.
If you get enough reports to get the initial debuff and then there's that countdown to getting the one where you don't get honor ... at the point the last one is applied, just boot them from the BG and put someone else in who is interested in playing.
But, that probably isn't going to happen. I am looking forward to the time when someone makes an addon to autoreport anyone who hasn't changed their BG score (heal or dmg) in x amount of time. Kind of like SpamSentry. That way I don't have to regulate what the rest of the raid is doing (because gee, aren't I supposed to be playing?) but some sleaze isn't mooching off of my work either.
Aug 27th 2007 9:24AM Reading strategies is just a good practice. Yes your raid leader can/will tell you about the fight prior to engaging, but you can help make that first attempt go a LOT smoother if you prepare a bit ahead of time.
As an ex-EQ1 cleric class lead and current WoW healer, I can tell you that *nothing* is more vital for healers. If you don't know how to heal an encounter the group/raid is going to fail. This applies to 5 man encounters as well. Yes there are times when you can push through with a well geared group, but most of the time this is where wipes come from - people not being prepared.
