Feb 1st 2010 12:14PM I've been using the same pair of Plantronics headset for over 5 years now, and they've gone through quite a bit wear and tear. Problem with them now, they lost the elasticity and practically fall off my head with little movement. I have been waiting for a good wireless headset, and from what I have read these are spectacular. I will be picking these up.

Cost isn't big deal, its not like i plan on replacing it any time soon. If I can keep these for 5 years though, I'd be impressed.

May 25th 2009 12:12PM There is plenty of trash where I don't even bother going in and dpsing. Lately, I switched to dual-spec and go elemental for trash and enhance for bosses. Its either that or die repeatedly.

Blizzard got rid of cleaves to alleviate some of the problems. There is still whirlwind and other close proximity AoE damage that affects all melee. Shaman with the least amount of health are usually the first to die.

I've seen mages with more health than me. Mages have multiple escape mechanisms and greater survivability, yet they get more stamina to boost. Shaman get screwed on gear because of itemization. This is because they have repeatedly stated they want less types of gear so more people can grab loot. Shaman end up with table scraps IMO. Itemization just isn't a problem with Enhance. Mail caster gear with Hit? Not a chance. You are stuck with MP5. Rings and Necks you have to choose between spirit and MP5 - both useless for Elemental.

In general, I think the generalized itemization is a good idea, but its been a poor implementation. They need to make spirit worthwhile for more casters than priests and druids. They started that somewhat with Warlocks, but even mages complain about worthless spirit gear.

Then there are weapons...swords are no longer viable for rogues. Dual-Wield 1H isn't good for warriors. There is a limited selection of weapons for melee classes overall - UNLESS you PvP and have the rating to purchase.

Absolutely redonkulous.

Is Shaman health too low in PvP? {WoW}

Feb 4th 2009 4:47PM Health isn't the issue, it just allows you to last a few seconds longer. Even doubling our stamina won't help us much.

I've played 10 arena matches - lost every one - and I simply don't want to go back. Pre-WOTLK, I would fair OK in arenas, but nobody really wanted me because I wasn't elemental. I would, however, do fairly well in BG's.

We asked for escapes and alternatives, but we (enhance) simply get spirit wolves and a talent that changes a totem. We also get Hex which is worthless.

Arena = stun + burst. As a shaman, I have burst, but I'm the one getting stunned with no way of getting out of it. Or if you do, its too late and you just get stunned again.

Shaman need better escapes and abilities to mitigate damage better. Just because we have mail, is no reason not to give us better abilities. Hunters, what?

Mage with an armor ability up has better survivability than a shaman - even if you take away all their other defensive abilities.

Oct 10th 2007 9:53AM Its purely situational IMO. The original blog post seems to be 5 mans. A normal 5 man - it doesn't really matter who pulls, as long as the tank can pick it up. Personally, I prefer pulling on my druid and I hate it when a mage pulls. Hunters, I'll let pull if they want. Most people don't understand threat mechanics as well as rage generation. If a mage sheeps or pulls a target when I have 0 rage, its almost impossible for me to gain aggro on the mob or remaining mobs. end result is usually a dead mage...sometimes a dead healer. Oh yeah...and when the mage decides to frost nova to save his ass, and I have to go around picking up the mobs - thats even worse.

In Karazhan, I'll sometimes pull trash on my shaman with a rank 1 ES. but 99% of the time its the warriors or druids pulling. It's just faster and more efficient having the tanks continually chain pulling to the boss.

Gruul's and Mags - we currently use hunter's to pull and MD onto tanks. SSC we start soon and probably will do the same.
