Mar 16th 2008 2:19AM Oh and btw, i'm not saying warlocks aren't a little overpowered, but they have to take such a boring spec to be good. I stopped playing my lock because destro is utterly worthless in PvP (PvE is just boring as a caster in general to me). SLSL is almost godly, i admit, but it's so ridiculously boring to play that i just couldn't be bothered any more.
Doesn't mean mages should whine so much though.
Mar 16th 2008 2:16AM Really, no. Ok so it has a "chance to break" rather than guaranteed break, but any direct damage will do it 9/10. Moreover there are so many ways to break fear, especially warriors who already give locks their biggest problem with MS but don't forget cloak of skills, will of the forsaken (most imba racial ever btw), berserker rage, deatwish and trinket. All that breaks sheep is trinket, CoS and stupid teammates.
Mar 16th 2008 12:52AM Mages whine sooooooooo god damn much.
And really, fear is a better CC than sheep? What are you smoking?
Feb 26th 2008 10:59PM Please, next time you feature warriors here can you get someone who knows about warriors to write the article? Both specs i've seen featuring said class have been complete and utter garbage (remember the endless rage one, anyone?). Sorry.
Feb 25th 2008 3:41PM Destruction even worse in PvP than before, despite nearly every warlock in the EU feedback threads saying it needs a huge buff. Makes you wonder why Blizzard even bothered with those threads. Hopefully there's a lot more to go in this PTR because as things stand my warlock is going to be getting played even less than it already is, i just can't stand being pigeonholed into the skill-less, boring SLSL yawnsfest spec.
Feb 24th 2008 2:28PM The burning legion doesn't have a home, i think you're confusing them with the original horde (y'know, just the orcs).
Feb 16th 2008 11:13AM Let's clear something up here. I'm not saying i should sit in AV for 2 hours and get tier5, no. I'm talking about true PvP, those of us who actually play - maybe make them available through the arena system instead of the honour system but i don't see how you can defend PvE-ers getting welfare PvP epics while PvP-ers are ignored. Show me how that is fair and balanced. I have yet to see a single person argue this logically.
Feb 16th 2008 8:18AM "And this has nothing to do with resilience"
Possibly the dumbest comment ever. Before BC it was about gear because of the offensive stats and Naxx players destroyed MC'ers in 2 hits. Nowadays that's much less likely to happen and it's about out-lasting rather than out-damaging.
Feb 16th 2008 8:08AM The gear > skill argument isn't new whatsoever... the resilience thing is slightly newer but still over a year old now, so grats for that. On topic, though, gear only gets you a certain distance. Granted, that's usually far enough to get a S3 weapon but past there the key turners hit the skill wall and just go round 2-shotting the just-dinged clothies instead. It sucks for those people on the receiving end but once they gear up they'lll eat the other guy for breakfast.
In summary then, Gear > skill up to a point.
Feb 16th 2008 7:29AM Zweel, please, there's no need to get personal is there. At least if you feel the need to be that childish you should know what you're talking about. I've played a warrior for three years, been every viable spec (and some others) and was even my guild's main tank for a while before BC. I know how to tank. Heroics are not difficult but resilience only compensates to a certain extent.
All i want is some balance - if PvE clickers get decent PvP gear why can't i have decent PvE gear? I'm not asking for rising tide and bulwark of azzinoth.
