Mar 7th 2011 1:15PM I'll answer this with a suggestion of my own. I agree with those that it was a way to allow players to progress without having to commit objectionable acts.
But I think there IS an opportunity here for blizzard if they explore it. They have made reputations too closely tied to getting "stuff" in my opinion. If the choices we made affected our reputation with various factions it could add a whole new dimension to the game. Not just factions like we see now but other type of factions. I'll give an example:
Let's say a quest has you confront someone in an inn. There might be a variety of choices each with their own impact. If among the choices I could either pick a fight with them or find a peaceful resolution to the confrontation. If I picked a fight, perhaps Innkeepers and bartender would react to me differently because I'd have gotten known as a brawler.
These choices couldn't affect major story progression because of the need for consistency, but it could flavor the game allot if different npc'd reacted to us differently based on our choices.

Feb 5th 2009 10:57AM If there's an achievement to not do ANY seasonal quests EVER, then I'm all over that. They are dumb and boring.
But, please don't stop them, cause they keep other people occupied and out of my way.
Dec 18th 2008 10:51AM Like others have said. Yeah, we noticed and no, we don't care.
Why is this moron Schramm still employed with WI?
Oh, and PLEASE get someone for the podcasts with a better on-air personality than this squeaky little twerp!
Dec 16th 2008 10:54AM I think they have missed an opportunity to truly innovate the whole gearing issue. What they have needed to do is to separate the look of things from the stats of things. Instead of mobs dropping gear with certain stats, have a mob drop and item that can change your gear to a certain set of stats (however ya want that to work scroll/enchant,whatever). That way you can select your armor for the way it looks and still have the stats controlled by what drops from mobs or bought by badges or whatever. Win-Win for everyone.
Dec 10th 2008 2:21PM The comic is just so-so and this animation sample is crap (The whole story, disney rip-off idea that is; whoever is animating it has skills). But I guess this strip appeals to the younger crowd whose taste is all in their moths anyway.
Call it a troll if ya want but they ain't gettin my money and I doubt I'd even bother watching it if it's free.
Nov 7th 2008 11:24AM I'll take one. Thank you.
