Breakfast Topic: The great merge {WoW}

Oct 13th 2009 8:49AM Why is it Blizzard's responsibility to make sure *your* computer doesn't get hacked? Blizzard's servers have never been hacked, it is people that are unable to secure their own systems.

After I was hacked (still not sure how, no trojans, keyloggers, or virii were found on any of my machines) I paid the crushingly expensive cost for an autheticator at all of $7 (free shipping).

Never had a problem since.

Doing something nice for other players {WoW}

Oct 1st 2009 10:09AM I will frequently take my human warlock back to the human starting zone and hang out by the warlock trainer next to the abbey. When a lowbie 'lock comes up to train, I inspect them. If they are around level 6 - 10, and still wearing the starter crap gear, then I feel safe in assuming that it isn't someone's alt. At that point, I will /s You have been chosen to receive a scholarship from the Future Warlocks of Azeroth foundation! Congratulations!

Then I open trade and throw them 20g.

The various reactions are worth it. I get everything from 'wtf?' to spamming 'thank you' to some that think it is a trick and decline the trade. Of course, you also get the ones that take it and just run off. Oh well.

Patch 3.2.2 changes for Shamans {WoW}

Sep 24th 2009 10:15AM Further Win:

Reference to Space Mutiny, which I am assuming is the Space Mutiny featured on MST3K, starring Santa Claus as the ships commanding officer, and scooter-cars that race along at slightly less than walking speed...

HA! good times, good times........

TurpsterVision: Multiboxing Unmasked {WoW}

Jul 22nd 2009 1:08PM I love how I get a gold buying / powerlevelling ad at the start of the video....

Activision conference call: WoW still at 11.5 million subscribers {WoW}

May 8th 2009 4:56PM Since accounts that de-activate are never deleted, does Blizz still count those as accounts? In other words, since I canceled the auto-renewal on my 5 accounts (all but one of which has become "frozen"), do those accounts still count toward the 11.5 million?

Patch 3.1 kills dozens of servers in cold blood {WoW}

Apr 15th 2009 10:13PM oh, and here's a surprise:

Battle.Net servers are down. AGAIN!

Honestly, they are down at least once a week now. I really wish I hadn't merged my account. Does anyone know if they are letting people reverse the merge yet?

Arthas: Rise of the Lich King giveaway {WoW}

Apr 14th 2009 9:20AM Commenting, FTW!

WoW Moviewatch: Rise of The Forsaken - Chapter I: Myth or Legend? {WoW}

Mar 24th 2009 12:40PM Hrm. It looks like they are trying to build a storyline anyway. I guess I am still surprised when I see opening and closing credits that account for nearly 1/4 of the total run time.

Breaking: Consumable ammunition will not be removed in patch 3.1 {WoW}

Feb 10th 2009 11:43PM Why can't they just change the line:

ammo := ammo - 1;

ammo := ammo - 0;

and sell ammo in stacks of 1.

problem solved. Everything else stays the same.

New mousecloning software lets you mouse multiple screens [Updated] {WoW}

Feb 2nd 2009 12:59PM "Just because blizz condones it, doesn't mean you still don't have more money than brains."

This attitude is annoying, to say the least. I 4 box, which means I spend $60/ month on subscriptions, or $720 per year.

I spend well over this amount per year on my remote control model airplanes, but nobody says that RC flyers have more money than brains.

My wife spends more than that on her scrapbooking. I am certainly not going to insist that she has more money than brains.

Why is it that you assume multi-boxers are stupid because they enjoy their chosen hobby?

What hobbies do you have? Have you ever sat down and added up what you spend on it? It may surprise you.
