Mar 3rd 2009 8:17PM Wow, are you kidding me? Splitting the battle down south is the major reason why Wintergrasp is so massively broken right now. The underpopulated side doesn't have the numbers to form little groups like this.
Dec 30th 2008 12:55AM To give some perspective, the only 80s I've seen with 100k are the ones who did the Rank 14 grind back in the day.
Nov 30th 2008 7:40AM I'm fine with Naxx being easy. I don't want to spend weeks learning the 15 bosses of the instance, especially when folks are coming into it with blues. Not to mention Naxx is king of the trash mobs (though it's been thankfully reduced) and the marathon boss fight. 15 minute bosses suck enough without having to do wipe after wipe on them.
Sartharion is mixed feelings. On one hand, it's laughably easy. On the other, it can be incredibly hard. Now that I've gotten a bit of perspective, I'd say it's perfect the way they implemented it. More tier gear early on only helps raids get on their feet. If guilds get bored, this is the optional difficult encounter that they can cut their teeth on.
Malygos is wholly disappointing. I was expecting this to be like pre-nerf Magtheridon. Malygos is such a huge part of the lore and it doesn't do him justice to plop him in an easy beginner raid. I really don't have a problem spending a week or two learning a boss with zero trash and a quick recovery time. Oh well, at least the encounter looks amazing and feels a lot more epic than it really is.
Nov 17th 2008 7:54AM Geez, what's with the orc hate? Thrall isn't a wuss, he's just stoic and diplomatic... something the orcs could really use right now. Granted he won't fight unless there's no other option, but when it is time to bring the pain, he doesn't hold back (re: battle for undercity).
Anyways... in the old horde, whoever killed the warchief became the new one. That's how doomhammer got it from blackhand. However, Thrall became the warchief of the new horde when doomhammer passed it on to him as he died. So, I would assume that in the new horde it would work the same - Thrall would pass on the mantle. Though, orcs value strength. If Thrall was defeated or shamed in front of his people, he'd be forced to bow to whomever defeated him. He's still in charge, he just got vetoed on that action =P Hence why Garrosh is the leader in northrend.

Sep 18th 2008 4:22PM This happened last time with the BC CE. They'll just open up orders for more in a bit. Don't worry.

Aug 14th 2008 2:46AM Well, the point of two leveling zones is just to ease up the load of the first leveling curve. Even if you have to do both zones, the number of people in each will still be half of what it could've been. So, purpose served.
Personally, I'm a little relieved. I was going to do both starting zones (completionist here) and was worried that I might outlevel all the content.
At any rate, there's 2 more zones in Northrend than in BC: one more entry zone and one more max level zone. So I wouldn't worry about running out of quests to level on.
Aug 6th 2008 8:51PM Punish 25 players or only punish 10?
Logic dictates the latter.
