Apr 26th 2011 4:28PM seeing as how i just got back into the game after a year... id need to fill up my cart with quest packs and a darn mount skill that seems to have vanished from my 39huntard. thanks massively!
Jan 14th 2009 3:56PM activision/blizzard legal is going to have a hay day with this.
i see a cease and desist in their future. hell, promoting their paid service using ingame images, box art, line art... without permission?
these guys better have their ducks in a row. hell, i wonder if those fonts are registered through their prospective foundry for promotional use...
this has scam or lightweight armchair business model written all over it. i commend them for trying something new, but downtime insurance? whats next, low fps insurance? bad raid insurance? bad pug insurance? no loot on last run insurance? lol.
its a game.

great post OP!
Mar 13th 2008 5:10PM as a paladin tank, i can say alot of this is situational. each encounter, each phase, each instance. with as many options avail to progress in this game, pigeon-hole'n one class to the "attitude of the month" mindset is a complete waste of time.
you need a solid group of players to support each other and almost everything is possible throughout the game. just because one player cant do something with one class, doesnt mean it is solid in stone that it cant be done. just means those that follow where this one has failed need to try something new.
for example. i stack threat for voidreaver. i stack so much spelldamage that my frontload and sustained threat per second is close to 1k tps (depending on trinks and situations...) i can eat 5-6 knockbacks before i need to start worry about the dps threshhold. granted, i might take 1-2% more crushing blows to to my gear choice for this fight. but it is something i have figured out, through research, and trial and error that makes me a viable option for a fight that so many say i should "healrespec".
even trying to figure out how to properly OT a gruuls fight showed me how to manage my threat per second and mana consumption without the incoming threat and mana from being the MT. this has even brought me to actually taking aggro from the mt many times.
granted, there are many encounters that are way easier using certain classes over others. but i am starting to see that depending on the quality of the people behind the keyboards that you raid with, will open up many avenues to get the job done. not just relying on the carved in granite strats that can be found at sites like bosskillers, wiki etc...
we need to remember this.
getting, keeping and propagating a mindset of "oh noes, we dont have [insert stereotypical class for encounter here] to do the job. we cant do this until we get one" will bring you no closer to getting the job done.
all this debate is great, but if it keeps spreading propaganda that isn't healthy towards certain classes and players that can play those classes, its more of a problem than a solution.
such as even your title to this article.
Aug 30th 2007 8:39PM wow. developers take note. you need to hire this person. aside from the personal choice in designs and colors (which i think stems from the creator making this for themselves), i find this absolutely stunning. hopefully crow is working in or has plans to be in the design feild of some kind... awesome.
