Sep 30th 2008 8:58AM 4 expertise is still pretty good.. it's not rating, it's flat out expertise. Admittedly it's not a world changer but, i'll take it!
Aug 30th 2008 1:40PM I just came back from a heroic nexus run, with a point in prot charge.. not usable in defensive stance :/ i however didn't think to tyr it out in battle but I think it's just misplaced.
Aug 28th 2008 2:02PM I've actually had a 80 dk in one of my COT: stratholme groups.. using army of the dead, the first boss (who hits very hard and stuns healers frequently) becomes a cakewalk. I don't have actual numbers but it seemed to do at the very least a quarter or more of the boss' hp :P
Aug 26th 2008 4:16PM actually, i've watched Vengeful bambina in action.. fighting vs an npc mob. She stayed at 1/42 hp, and WOULD NOT DIE..
Ever so slowly....
Kept killing the npc... a human hunter mob of sorts.
Each hit was 1hp. Hit by hit... SLOW TORTURE!
Oct 12th 2007 3:11PM Expertise is a godsend to tanks. Very often, when tanking/building threat, you won't only get misses (which is reduced by +hit)... but also parries and dodges. Weapon skill, now called experties, reduces the rate at which mobs do that vs YOUR attacks.
Less dodges and parries by the mob = more threat generating hits going in = more threat.
For that matter, with less mob parries, there's less chance for a sped up attack (any attack that is parried causes an up to 50% speed increase on the next attack as a "counterattack") which has often gibbed tanking warriors, or reduced their shield block charges far faster than normal. With this, that reduces that risk hopefully a great deal.
Sep 7th 2007 8:44AM I DEMAND A BOOTERANG THAT WORKS ON GUILDEES/ENEMY FACTION/YOUR OWN FACTION!
That, or a bat to use for mock duels. Nerf bats, specifically >.>
