Nov 16th 2008 2:48PM It includes lead, alright.
But not for that reason, exactly.

(Proudly-ish one of those 5 million North Americans!)
Nov 11th 2008 10:31PM Oh noes, the comment form won't let me reply to "wow nub"!
Nov 11th 2008 10:28PM To see what my response is, just look at your name...
Nov 11th 2008 10:26PM Xothis, please stay on topic with the comment at hand ("first?").
And I believe that the term is "absolute hell."
Nov 11th 2008 10:24PM I believe that was the only mail that was missing, and that mail older than that was fine.
I think... If not, I'm screwed too.
Nov 11th 2008 10:18PM "You are an idiot."
Evening to you, too.
"You think because YOU don't have time to play all the time that blizzard should compensate you?"
I can already tell this'll be fun reading, fanboys are always amusing.
"Tuesdays is always patch day and you should have picked a different day to play."
Oh drat! Foiled again!
Hate to break this to you, but today's Veterans day, and Blizzard knew that just as well as anyone else did. Also, usually things get out of the way in their time allocated.
"The most you lost today is your 36 cents as was stated earlier."
Another thing that was stated earlier is that I have a life, much like most people (even those on WoW insider), and I don't have as much free time as you. Whoopdedoo, guess what, I'm in Blizzard's target audience too (I know, shocking, blizzard doesn't like you any better!), and that entitles me to not getting screwed.
"If you look at your subscription time most likely you will see the day credited to your account."
I'm sorry, the WoW site is flickering from down to slow-as-hell, can't exactly do that.
"They don't owe you more because you aren't available to play on other days."
Never said that they did. Read what you're flaming, thanks.
"I think its hilarious how many people think blizz owes them so much because they are upgrading their servers."
I think it's hilarious how fanboys think they're right about everything, so we're even.
"Its 50 cents a day folks. Hell even a day fo cable tv costs more."
1. SPEAK ENGLISH. Not illiterate-ish.
2. Did you even bother reading the tl;dr version of my wall o' text? /sigh
Feel free to respond.
Nov 11th 2008 9:42PM Arguing with fanboys is like arguing with a wall, but at least with a wall it doesn't think it's smarter than everything else in existence.
Nov 11th 2008 9:37PM "They owe you exactly nothing."
Indeed, they don't. I said "better," not "has to."
"They never guarantee uptime at any point. They're not required to give any refunds or credits. Is it possible they will? Yes."
Because they (sometimes) realize it when they screw stuff up bad, that's why.
"Are they required to? No. Would it be good customer service to do so? Yes."
Exactly, and I regard this as a big enough screw up to warrant game time.
"Does it make good business sense? Not really, considering they'll sell 5 million units tomorrow no matter what they do."
Sort of. I highly doubt they'll sell 5 million units *tomorrow,* but they may in the next month. Also, they're hitting up against what other MMOs do: Tell you to go f-off when you complain about something just like this, which _really_ doesn't sound like Blizzard.
Then again, this is ActivisionBlizzard... =S
Nov 11th 2008 9:14PM That's funny, Kakistocracy. You seem to not realize the fact that I don't have unlimited hours a week to play.
I don't give about my $.50, or $.36, or whatever the hell it is. I only care about the fact that I now have to wait a few more days (maybe even a week) before I can play WoW again, for I have things to do for the next few day
So I think that I should be compensated for those days in some fashion, and free game time is the only reasonable composition (as much as I'd like free WotLK).
So, Kakistocracy, I hope you learn to think about other people's time restraints. And if you don't believe they exist, then there's proof, known as the column "WoW, Casually."
Tl;dr version: When the gobins say "Time is money, friend," they're not lying.
