Nov 13th 2009 11:14AM I don't think he did anything wrong. If she had decent media training (which, oddly, she's probably had a lot), she would have said something generic about it being in the best interest of everyone to put it behind them, and she wants to focus on the future, including the book *plug*
Would have shut him up and plugged the book.
My guess is this was a stunt. CNN has crappy ratings, and now most everyone knows Carrie has a book out now.
Nov 13th 2009 10:49AM heh, so the fact that the creator said it via twitter means nothing? That's not a viable answer?
How many episodes have been told from Meredith's point of view?
Oct 30th 2009 1:57PM geez, when did everyone in the world move to GA? How is it that the east coast is still so populated when from the comments, it should be a deserted wasteland?
You all are taking it a bit too seriously. It's not reality. It's a television show.
I really hope you apply the same sense of reality to shows like FlashForward, Lost, and Fringe.
Seriously...when have comedy shows not played upon stereotypes?
Oct 30th 2009 1:53PM and the commercial for his new NBC show following his first appearance?
synergy at it's best.

You are welcome to find it suspect that I am giving Bliz the *potential* to remedy a situation. I also only mentioned that there were two issues that Bliz could remedy.
@Skem wasn't a personal attack either, tho I did come off a bit snarky. With your last point...you're negating the idea that all of this would be optional. Besides myself, I know a good amount of people who would certainly take advantage of this. As it stands now, if you're not in a full 25-man guild, you are (or should be) gear-checking people before adding them to any sort of raid. So you'll have more people you have to check. Is that as big of a deal as having to wait 20 mins to find a healer, vs having 10 healers in queue because of cross-server raiding?
The point of what I said was people are looking at this potential with regards to existing functions, not being open to the idea that games like these tend to evolve over time. With any new mechanic, Bliz has the potential to remedy anything problematic before release, or with follow-up patches.
Oct 26th 2009 9:59PM Hello Mr. Black and White. I'd like to introduce you to the world of colors, as nothing is so cut-and-dry:
RE: 1 - Blizzard could find a remedy for this.
RE: 2 - Does it matter if all you're looking to do is pug a raid on an alt and don't want to wait around for 25 other people who can do it at the time you want to do it? If you're worried about that, you should only raid with your guild.
RE: 3 - If someone ninja logs, there will be a queue of people behind them. Cross-realm would open up an easier time replacing people. This would be no different than ninja logging in raids as they function now, only you'd have an easier time replacing.
RE: 4 - Blizzard could find a remedy for this. Hello wowarmory.com. No reason they couldn't implement gear score options. I'd assume raid leaders would be able to pick who they wanted, otherwise there'd be no use for a raid leader. Again, no real change from current, just larger pool to pull form. Besides, I have a highly geared alt that I don't know how to play very well. Gear score is a smoke screen!
RE: 5 - Is that kind of like being in a group with a friend now, and going to LFG to find the rest of your raid and filling spots needed? Again, this is no different than what it is now, only a larger pool.
RE: 6 - Does it matter if all you're looking to do is pug a raid on an alt and don't want to wait around for 25 other people who can do it at the time you want to do it? If you're worried about that, you should only raid with your guild, on your own server (of which I'm sure they'd give you the option to only choose from).
I for one loved the idea of cross-server merely for the fact that I could get into a raid quicker on an alt during an off-time. Or, my guild could bring friends/family who might be on another server. I think it'd be sad if they didn't allow cross-server raiding!
Oct 23rd 2009 11:54AM Derek was POV #10 in that he felt the chief created the climate that lead to these events.
The chief was #11 in that he explained his POV to Derek at the end.
Oct 23rd 2009 11:44AM I don't seem to remember hearing anything about masturbation, constipation, or sluts.
Do you mute Activia commercials? Contraceptive commercials?
I mean, really, did you think this was PBS or Disney? Shows like these always include people with debatable ethics and morals. Sort of the point.
Oct 23rd 2009 11:34AM lol, gay because of a ring? Do you normally believe stereotypes to be true?
Oct 18th 2009 6:03PM I watched this episode, and I didn't remember half of it. I thought the whole thing was a mess, and I felt that Shakira was only performing to teenage males with the messy performances she gave that really only highlighted her sex appeal.
This ep was one of the worst I had seen in recent seasons.
