WoW Insider's Cataclysm Launch Giveaway: Ethereal Portal loot code {WoW}

Dec 8th 2010 1:25PM Any of my characters would looooove this item :)

The OverAchiever: 5 lucrative achievements {WoW}

Jan 26th 2010 5:13PM Another profitable achievement? Loremaster. Especially if you quest in between running the random dungeon. Breaks up the monotony of questing and the monotony of endless dungeon running. Plus, drops/greens/gold from questing and drops/greens/enchanting mats from dungeons. This is especially helpful if you are a DPS class and dealing with 10+ min waits between dungeons.

The Queue: My Gimp {WoW}

Oct 21st 2009 11:36PM Like everyone else says, it doesn't count towards the mount achievements. It is just like the loaned gryphon reins in that regard.

WoW Rookie: Bag it {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 10:09PM Duskwood, the one quest to help the Night Watch out. Reward is a choice of a bag, a quiver or an ammo pouch. I want to say its a 10 slot, but not certain. There's also a quest in Menethil that also gives a bag as well, again around 10 slots. Both are BoP, as is appropriate for quest rewards. Both have been utterly useless for my alts when they're on the quests because they've already got something bigger in bank and on their person.

Armor penetration being nerfed in 3.2.2 {WoW}

Sep 5th 2009 6:16PM As a fury warrior, I'm not purposely stacking ArP, though I'm also definitely not avoiding it, which is why I have just over 54% ArP on my gear. This nerf is a result of Blizzard putting so much ArP on plate DPS gear in Ulduar, kinda like how a lot of plate DPS gear in Naxx had hit on it (and seriously, I love actually being at the soft hit cap, rather than being almost hard-capped). So, what is the next flavor-of-the-month stat that the designers will give us prior to Mastery and the elimination of most of the stats? Because that one will get nerfed at some point too, due to no player's fault.

BlizzCon 2009: Hands-on with Creative's World of Warcraft headset {WoW}

Aug 25th 2009 9:06PM Personally, yes, I do have the sound turned on in-game. But guess what? On a headset, the music coming into the ears does not bleed out into the microphone. I could turn on thrash metal or whatever I wanted and no one would know as long as I could follow directions. Desktop microphones are obviously a different story, but considering this is a preview of a headset, bringing up issues that are pertinent only to desktop microphones is a bit useless.

Insider Trader: Profession-specific buffs part 2 {WoW}

Jun 12th 2009 4:12PM There are prismatic sockets in-game, the belt buckle being one of them. You'd be surprised at the number of people in-game who hasn't realized that they don't have to stick to whatever color a particular socket is (including prismatics). For all of a week or so, when I got my first belt buckle, I did have a prismatic gem equipped because I didn't know better (and thought it was similar to meta sockets). So yes, possibly bad wording on the point of the author, but those sockets ARE prismatic.

Insider Trader: Profession-specific buffs part 2 {WoW}

Jun 12th 2009 4:08PM There are a lot of enchants missing, since the point of this list isn't to point out every single enchant in the game. Rather, this list is to compare the various professions' buffs with each other. Armsman is one that can be given by any enchanter to a tank, but reticulated armor webbing is only used by an engineer (to focus on the same item slot and role).

There has been lots of discussion about how engineering is so off compared to the other professions, and as a relatively new player to the game (especially one who hasn't gotten to end-game with many professions), its nice to see a comparison on how the professions stack up.

Officers' Quarters: Unsocial {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 11:14PM One thing we've done in our guild, is to set some time aside to fish, like in Goldshire or something, and we'll even hold guild meetings then as well. Its a great chance to shoot the breeze, just like you would in real life fishing as well.

Unspecified Warrior damage buffs in the works {WoW}

May 19th 2009 7:21PM An armor debuff.... something like 'zerker stance? Where we take 10% increased damage (or was it changed to 5% recently) just for being in the stance?
